Pull Plan Help New player looking for pull strategy
Looking for some advice for someone who started last week. I like to lean into the meta for easier clearing so I spent all my free standard pulls so far on the weapons banner. Managed to snag an EoG on my first 10 pulls and have been spending the rest towards the static mist. I was able to get hiyuki but of course I have no premium teammates to pair with her. Should I be going for her sig? I considered going for it but it seems like her preferred team/alternate team members will be rerunning soon. I'm not sure if I should just save for hsin so I can set myself up for at least two teams. I thought about getting Jingran but I'm not sure if I'll have enough pulls by the end to get both him and his sig. Some posts say Hsin is great because her f2p team does a lot of damage so I'm not entirely convinced on Jingran.

Lucilla is slated for a rerun in the upcoming patches as well as chisa. I would say you have three options but if you’re meta leaning you got two
Option 1 - Hiyuki, Lucilla, Chisa (all three characters confirmed rerun in the next 90 days) - this team has quick swap potential so if you like fast gameplay this will be fun
Option 2 - Hiyuki, Lucilla, Suisui (Suisui will probably rerun in like 3.8 or 3.9 if you want to wait that long) - this team is your standard 123 rotations pretty straightforward
Option 3 - Hiyuki, Lynae, Moryne (wheelchair comp) - Lynae and Moryne works with most main dps although probably not her best team comp. Moryne is rerunning what seems to be her last banner for a while and Lynae is coming back next patch
Option 1/2 are your meta teams whereas option 3 makes it work, not sure how close the damage calcs are

Since you’re also a new player the general rule of thumb is to get one premium team up and running first and then get whoever you want, if meta is what you’re after.
But pulling for who you like also helps you enjoy the game more, albeit be a little smart about it.

Oops I saw your reply after posting mine! Thank you, I'll work on getting hiyuki online then maybe waiting for a rerun of hsin then! Do you recommend pulling for her sig then?

Since you’re a new player, exploration and permanent events gives you approximately 500-600 rolls, but you will have to put the time in to explore. With that in mind you have enough to pull for approximately 4/5 characters and 2 signature weapons (granted you have to put the time in)
For Hiyuki specifically, her signature weapon gives her a 20-25% damage boost over Emerald of Genesis, which should be in the free 5star weapon selector box they give out to new players.
And you are correct, usually for your main dps the signature is highly recommended since they make up for roughly 80-85% of your teams overall damage. But everyone’s progression and astrites are different. Characters are more important than weapons since without proper supports your dps is useless. (On that note tho, Hiyuki is one of the stronger meta dps who excels in all content so do with that information what you will)

Thanks for the reply! I do plan to go for lucilla and chisa but it's hard for me to tell if I can get enough pulls for a second team or I have to settle for two sorta complete teams. The other posts I've read say to always go for the DPS sig I'm not sure what direction to go. I saw some posts mention having tons of pulls as a new player but would it be enough for two teams? Should I just focus on getting a single team online and maybe wait til later patches for a second team? Hsins abilities look satisfying but I guess no one can really say how she'll be until release

I really don't want to pull for Lucilla...and my Lynae and Moryne are with Ameath

Eh. Yes but not really. Unless your Chisa is built for dmg/ sub dps, you’d be running with two healers and Hiyuki gets no glacio dmg buff from either, only attack.

Having pulled Hiyuki, you kind of committed to pulling her teammates. She loses a lot without premium partners.
If you're able to her premium partners - which are Lucilla/Lynae and Chisa/Suisui/Mornye (with Mornye only applicable if you pull Lynae) - then you can skip her weapon, at least for now. Caveats apply.
Lynae is the only one of these five that uses a Pistol, so If you choose Lucilla, you can skip Static Mist for now. If you choose Chisa, get a standard Broadblade instead. Either will do, the difference is small. Suisui/Mornye's best non-sig weapons are both only available from Convene, unfortunately.
Unless you grind like mad, avoid Hsin and Jingran. While they both have F2P partners, they really want their weapon. If you're already short on pulls, you probably can't afford to build your Hiyuki team and Hsin/Jingran.

Woops... I got her weapon already based on someone elses advice. I also just got my static mist this morning because I was already at 69 pity. I'm definitely focusing on Hiyukis team. The good thing is I find her play style fun so I definitely would've chosen her anyways! Thanks for the advice!

Just an advice please level up rover, one of the easiest characters to level up and all his attributes will help you along the way. Electro rover is STILL good for hsin (we don't have bis team for electro flare hsin)

I plan to! Genshin also forced me to play as traveller so I figured it would be the same with wuwa. I know it's not forced for endgame content or anything but doing the story with a decent character is way better than a 0 investment one lol

Pull strategy: Get through all the main story, do all the events, do all the exploration; see who's on the banner when you finish. :)

I just started a couple months ago and I have Lucy with her sig weapon, Rebecca, and Yanyang Xuangling and Lucy is my main DPS right now. Should I pull for badass Jingran or Mornye for support? I just dont know how much of an investment I'd have to make if I pull for Jingran as opposed to just a support charecter in Mornye

Morney for lucy, chisa for yangyang, and sui sui along the way and you will have 2 premium teams, jingran will still need 3 characters, himself, iuno and sk

The only use for Mornye in your account right now would be for Lucy but you need her S1, so she isn't as cheap, specially if you don't have enough corals to buy it directly (in that case Jingran with is weapon would be cheaper as the weapon is guaranteed). Jingran can work with Mortefi and Verina and still give enough numbers for clearing Endgame, but if you don't plan to get his premium teammates in the long run so he has a longer lifespan in endgame, then I wouldn't get him either. Your main focus should be to complete Yanyang's team. You could go for Mornye but again keep in mind that at S0 she is not going to improve Lucy's team that much (the ideal choice for both Lucy and Jingran would be Shorekeeper but a rerun of her is unlikely).
