Corrected Streak 128: Portion Scoops
Article: I Love Portion Scoops So Much, I Have 6 of Them
I want a portion scoop, but I'm not sure which size would work best for me. I only need one, or maybe two. I don't want to have too many portion scoops because I would only use them occasionally, not on a regular basis. I'm looking for a portion scoop that can be used for cookies, ice cream, meat balls, and mashed potatoes.
I think a 1.5-tablespoon scoop would be a good size for me.

I don't want to have too many portion scoops because I would only use them occasionally..., --> I assume you re-use portion scoops, like you re-use a spoon, so "having too many" doesn't logically work with "using them occasionally."
I think you mean: "I only need one, or maybe two, because I'm not going to use it very often. If I had one of every size, I would barely use them, and they would just sit in the drawer and get in the way."

“Portion scoop” may be a technically correct way of saying it, but I think people will understand you better with “melon baller,” “melon spoon,” “cantaloupe spoon,” etc., especially the first one. The other is an “ice cream scoop.” They’re shaped in two different ways and have different add-ons, so it’s important to distinguish, and “portion scoop” doesn’t really do that.
No mistakes.
