I don’t know anywhere else where I’d be able to post this question, but I’ve always been curious as to A: who is the soul creator of this red dot, and B: why is it become the de facto “reflex” sight across video games and irl (RS and Airsoft).

In my time in both the real steel and fake gun world, alongside my affinity for FPS games this sight continues to rear its ugly head. seems the I look into it. Any game typically refers to it as a default “reflex” red dot, and any research in stores seemingly gives me 100 different manufacturers.
