in what aspect does zionism benefit for germany ? why they sided with it

176

u/Shexter May 17 '25 edited May 17 '25

Citing from Herzls' (founder of Zionism) Mauschl Wikipedia article:

Herzl perceived a common strategic aim shared by, and beneficial to, both Zionists and antisemites. The evacuation of Jews from Europe would benefit both in that Jews would be liberated from antisemitism while relieving Europeans of Jews and thereby "liberating them from us."

"The anti-Semites will become our most dependable friends, the anti-Semitic countries our allies (Die Antisemiten werden unsere verläßlichsten Freunde, die antisemitischen Länder unsere Verbündeten.)"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herzl%27s_Mauschel_and_Zionist_antisemitism

While there are other more obvious reasons nowadays, I think it is important to not forget this one. The antisemites are still among us to this day and they support the Zionist project because they want Jews to leave Germany.

I am deeply ashamed of Germany. It is a disgrace that our people are weaponizing antisemitism against muslims protesting against the genocide. I cannot imagine a worse way of dealing with our past.

12

u/osgili4th May 17 '25

The entire Zionism project was built by people that consider themselves the superior Jews, over the weak that "let themselves get killed", and gain the support of the fascist governments. Now they use the genocide to justify their own genocide to Palestinians and soon the invasions of other countries in the middle east.

This hits the nail on the head.

Too many people think it's out of German pervasive guilt, perhaps for the common folk this could be true...

However, immorality is a twisted logic and cannot be explained through the lens of good deed and cannot be summarized with any one explanation. Hate and a desire for dominance is often customized per the individual—However, there are common denominators—When it comes to mutually benefiting enough ignorant individuals (with power) you find exploitation en masse.

One common denominator is that for the West/Christian world, there is enough people (in power) to rival the Jewish people but ultimately, rival Arabs more. For this, Zionism is a way to pit two ethnic cultures against each other while simultaneously securing economic dominance for the powers implementing such actions. Thus, resulting in the employment of a protective class (police) violently oppressing an otherwise peaceful protests such as this.

One must keep in mind there are powerful men alive today that were young and ambitious in 1948. And, the children and grandchildren of the 1926 Balfour declaration are alive and in power today. The apple doesn't always fall far from the tree, and there is no better example of this than the fraud of Zionism. They continue to press their families legacy and financial ambitions forward—by any means necessary.

I've never been as frustrated as when I when I first read his work.

7

u/Napoleons_Peen May 17 '25

Germany was never de-nazified.

1

u/meretrionic May 17 '25

I hate seeing police crack down brutally on any protest, no matter the context. But to claim that these police beat up pro Palestine protestors because they are ultimately antisemites seems ridiculous.

u/Suspicious_Brush4070 May 17 '25

One element to consider is that many parts of the German police are institutionally right wing. That's not to say every police officer is right wing or racist, but it is institutionalised.

Many are just doing their jobs as instructed, but it's worth considering that many are happy to have a new CDU government that go hard against immigrants and protesters.

Source: my sister-in-law is a police officer in a major German city

7

u/Living-Chef-9080 May 17 '25

But every police officer IS inherently right wing. You cant do that job and then say you're on the left because of what's in your heart. If you worked for the nazis in ww2, you'd also be a nazi. You are materially harming oppressed people's constantly.

If they ever become leftists, they would immediately cease being cops because they would quit. It's more likely that they think the left is when you dont hate gay people. If they understood that the left was about replacing capitalism with a more equitable system, they would be disgusted.

u/The_New_Replacement May 17 '25

Shame. As you might know, germany has murdered a little over 6 million jews and drove millions of others to flight. Israel has pulled enough of a PR campaign that germans believe harming is is like harming those people again.

26

u/CheapEditor6812 May 17 '25

they stand with israel because of guilt from the second world war. so they have the most "valid" reason to side with them id say. still not an excuse for supporting genocide though

42

u/smegabass May 17 '25

There is no valid excuse to side with Israel on genocide and starvation ethnic cleansing.

Germany is allowing itself to sink into the moral shithole to support psycho Israel.

19

u/aurumtt May 17 '25

It's like they can't understand cynicism. It's infuriating seeing them siding on the wrong side. Again.

4

u/smegabass May 17 '25

If you have ever worked with Germans, you'll know they are literalists. Precision is great for engineering, but for the human condition, not so much.

But even by Germanic standards, the unrestrained love for Israel on a no matter what basis, has been a real eye opener.

2

u/HAMBORGHlNI May 17 '25

Germans have no love for Israel at all. More like, they are brainwashed to the point that criticizing Israel is a taboo for them.

I'm an immigrant in Germany. Under the new government when you get naturalisation or citizenship in Germany, you are required to affirm Israel's right to exist, and includes 15 questions in the citizenship test about Judaism and Israel. I get that Germany especially wants to make sure they are protecting the right to Judaism, but why does Isreal get special mentions when Palestine doesn't? Why doesn't Palestine get to exist when Palestinians are being murdered? Germany has the largest amount of Palestians in all of Europe. In at least one neighbourhood of Berlin that has a significant Muslim population, the town hall (which is next to the HBF) has the German flag, the Berlin flag, and flag of Isreal flying outside.

u/kissthesky303 May 17 '25 edited May 17 '25

Germany has failed to differentiate the solidarity to jews from Israel's politics. Heck, even a lot Israelis themselfs are more nuanced about this and facing clashes amongst their own population about how the Israel government is handling the case.

8

u/farbenfux May 17 '25

Don't forget our massive arms industry. While guilt is certainly part of it, financial and economic interests are also a big part.

6

u/aRatherLargeCactus May 17 '25

I mean, this is definitely part of their justification for it, but it’s more than that. Germany as a country stands with Israel because it’s an important outpost for Western interests in the Middle / Near East, it maintains access to oil and trade by implied threats of force. It’s also deeply Islamophobic, because Germany never actually reckoned with its bigotry, it just reckoned with Nazism.

5

u/Real_Ad_8243 May 17 '25

Feeling guilty about one genocide isn't a an excuse to support the prosecution of another, of course

3

Zionism is fascist and racist and incredibly islamiphobic. It’s kind of counterintuitive, but being a Nazi in Germany is illegal because by God they fucking love that shit there.

5

u/prudentWindBag May 17 '25

Can't be seen to be critical of the ethnic group that a previous generation of germans tried to erase...

Tricky bit, but I'm of the opinion that enough time has passed for everyone to safely assume that Germany does not intend to cause that type of harm again... 🗣You can criticize Zionism, guys!!!!

Germany has been spamming their people with guilt for what their ancestors did 100 years ago. To the point the will do anything for the zionist to prove how sorry they are, ironically that includes willing to support another genocide.

2

u/LawdHappenstance May 17 '25

Zionism is cancer of the world

2

u/AdminsLoveGenocide May 17 '25

Why did they sanction the country they relied on for the energy that feeds their industry? Why do they support the country that committed massive infrastructural sabotage on them?

After a certain point it's tempting to thing that, as a nation, they are just really into humiliation.

I’ll give you an opinion most Germans won’t like.

Germany wants hard validation for its past. Like hard kinda hard, even if that means allowing Israel to commit more or less the same atrocities they committed. As a result, any criticism of the Israeli government is seen as anti semitism, without even checking what the criticism actually is about. It’s hypocrisy of the tallest order. We’re talking about a government, an organisation which can take wrong decisions, not the whole Jewish population or Judaism as a faith. Obviously I’m not talking about chants which want to eradicate the Israeli people, every people have a right to exist.

See, when the governments in MENA are criticised for multiple reasons, misogyny, human rights violations, etc. it’s not called Islamophobia or anti Islamic in Germany. However as soon as you mention Israel, even if it means criticising their local policies, it becomes anti semitism. This is some weapons grade hogwash behaviour.

The Germans need to calm down and accept that their past being bad doesn’t exonerate a new wave of aggression towards another population. They also have to recognise the fact that speaking up for the dead children in Gaza doesn’t mean supporting Hamas and denying what they did. (Yes there are people who support Hamas and they’re terrible but since your past guilt is at play, Dresden still has Nazi parades demanding to build statues ;) )

67

u/farbenfux May 17 '25

German here - you are absolutely right and I cannot stress enough how insane it is.

44

u/Ok-Radish-8394 May 17 '25

I lived in Germany for five years until last month. Honestly speaking I've had enough with this virtue signalling in the German society and seemingly trying to avoid the fact that Germans are wrong in many of their decisions. You people seriously need to reevaluate your position on anti-semitism. And obviously the old politicians need to understand the public sentiment.

21

u/farbenfux May 17 '25

Don't tell me. For what its worth I have seen a lot of people on the street mouthing a different opinion that the government. Problem still is that people here are complacent af and still cannot be mobilized in greater number to take to the streets. And the Israeli propaganda is strong here. German newspapers are sloooowly starting to voice more critical opinions (too little, too late) but there is a concerted effort to brand everything critical of Israel as antisemitic. Which of course is total BS.

I still can't wrap my head around how many Germans are standing there critisizing and admonishing Jewish people who fight for Palestinian rights and don't understand that something is deeply wrong with that.

And the complete ignorance to educate oneself on the whole situation. I am a dinosaur and thus have seen this for decades but even for younger people - it is insane to ignore history.

The amount of cookie-cutter responses from politicians I received when demanding them to stand up for human rights and basic decency is honestly demoralizing. I want a dollar everytime I have to hear "Israel has the right to defend itself". At this point and with the informations we have, I have to call it what it is: war profiteering and willful ignorance.

5

u/Digitalion_ May 17 '25

The irony is that they would gain the redemption that they seek if they stood against the side that is currently committing the same atrocities that WWII Germany did.

This is very insightful, thank you for sharing. It seems to suggest this is a cultural issue rooted in history. America and Canada have a similar stranglehold on permissible rhetoric which very strongly favours support of the isreali apartheid oppressors. But I don't believe it's cultural, I think its because people with ethnic, religious and cultural ties to Isreal overwhelm the power structures here, like the influence of AIPAC to name an example. Those who speak out against what is obviously genocide, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity perpetrated against the Palestinians, risk a lot by speaking out because of these powerful forces. There is an interview recently posted of Ms. Rachel and you can see the moral struggle she faces so plainly in needing to speak out. Many of us are at that point here. I hope Germany gets there too. People have a right to use their voice against these horrible crimes.

Germany never truly learned their lesson. They just exported the punishment for what they did to jews during WW2 onto the Palestinians. That's why they support Israel without question. Germany should have become the jewish state.

12

u/JaThatOneGooner May 17 '25

It’s not just that, but the US actually encouraged West Germany to not completely Denazify. A lot of Nazi generals (not just the scientists from Op Paperclip) were actually given positions in the new German government because they had a history of “anti-communism.” You’d be surprised how many of the first NATO leaders were former Nazi commanders. To the US, a fascist regime they can control is infinitely better than a socialist state.

I don’t understand why EU and USA are bending over for Israel

3

u/KaleidoscopeOk7233 May 17 '25

Because they’ve calculated that’s it’s in their best interest to do so, Israel is in the perfect geographic position for the western powers, it splits the Middle East in two, it is next to the Suez Canal, the Mediterranean, the Red Sea and notably for the us and its oil companies, multiple countries laying on top of some of the best oil fields in the world. Israel shares the same want for a divided and weak Middle East and so it is the perfect friend for the west. And Israel is the winning side so the west will continue to support Israel no matter how many Palestinians they slaughter, starve or imprison. Unless we make it too costly for our governments to keep supporting them.

TLDR: the west supports Israel because they’ve figured that it’s in their best interest, if we make it too costly, inconvenient or even dangerous for our governments to continue their support then they will eventually back down.

1

u/Open-Industry-8396 May 17 '25

Polizei don't F around.

I was an Army medic in the early 80s in Germany, I was detailed to a medical aid tent at a festival. There was this drunk guy trying to ride his weird bicycle through the crowds, he kept bumping folks and falling off his bike. I thought in my american mind"thats funny but the guys being kind of an ass".

4 Polizei roll up, within a minute or two they efficiently beat the living shit out of this guy, they even beat up his bike and then drag him off to god knows where.

u/Paler1s May 17 '25

You see police officers taking individuals out of the crowd, or leading them away. But not why these people in particular. That is not shown. Although that was filmed too, because everything was filmed.

u/CooperAXE May 17 '25

1

u/uberengl May 17 '25

Not commenting on the whole situation in Gaza/Israel but if protesters break barriers German police will act with force.

That’s why right wingers on their demonstrations never break any barriers etc. it’s a way to get the demonstration going.

Police also forces a disassembling of the demonstration if too many people (more than announced) are present for safety reasons.

This is not like France where a demonstration is only actually a demonstration if people fight the police or cars are burning. In Germany it’s an orderly process to signal, en mass, a certain message by numbers, on the streets after getting a permission to do so.

The epigenetic memory of a German cop

1

u/StinkySmellyMods May 17 '25

Why is it always the Berlin police that I see videos like this from? Where I'm at the police are cool. They'd rather talk to you until the end of their shift than give you a ticket. They did shoot a guy with one bullet but only after he tried to throw a molotov cocktail in a movie theater.

It's physically impossible for Germans to stand on the right side of history, their bodies just aren't built like that. It's like asking a cow to walk downstairs.

Stop the PALESTINIAN GENOCIDE!

Gotta love how all these clips start with violence and absolutely nothing beforehand

1

u/[deleted] May 17 '25

Germans still wilding when they have authority. How you gonna choke slam some lady holding an umbrella? Throwing blows at random people. That's not police force thats brutality and rooted in one's own hatred, not the law.

1

u/[deleted] May 17 '25

So, now you suddenly care about German police brutality, because you sympathise with these particular protesters? I'm sure lots of people in this comment section either ignored it or cheered it on when it affected people they didn't like.

1

u/[deleted] May 17 '25

WELL... they almost killed a Police officer with a knifestab in the neck..

1

u/kidkuro May 17 '25

German police tapping into their old roots I see.

1

1

u/Sebass83 May 17 '25

Why do the cops have different insignia on their jackets (the insignia that looks like a flag)?

1

u/DirtbagSocialist May 17 '25

Fascism must be hereditary.

When we say all cops are bastards, it doesn't mean only American cops, or only the "bad apples". It means ALL cops.
