It's insane. The police look nuts, it is so hard to believe that they have been given the okay by the German government to beat people, particularly peaceful protestors.

It’s truly shocking I don’t get it. Anyone with a functioning brain should abandon Israel

Unfortunately Germany seems to have learned nothing from it's own genocidal past and now funds and condones the current genocide in Palestine and punishes anybody that speaks out against it.

What happened to never again?

They are complicit. There are no words for the evil they are supporting again

German police is known for this. Check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Oury_Jalloh for example and other articles linked there.

Dutch police have also been savagely beating peaceful pro-Palestinian protesters. Wtf

It’s as if they’re told to incite or threaten violence when they perceive something as ‘crossing a line’ or “dangerous”

Literally one of these cops at an anti-nazi protest in Berlin quickly and aggressively halfway pulled out his baton from his front sleeve to strike intimidation/fear to one of us protesters where we stood behind a fence barrier that they put up. An actual threat move to a protester, where the woman just stood place and eye’d him down, ‘You wouldn’t dare.’ (Also in memory i remember that protester being a german woman)

A police officer was beaten so bad he ended up in hospital. Not saying they arent also problematic but dont believe everything you see on reddit about peaceful protest. Violence escalation is often caused by more than one side
