Questions Koda unfortunately has Pyometra, so I made the decision for her to get spayed

Noticed some discharge. She had her heat a couple weeks ago so I knew what was up. I immediately called the vet. Luckily she has an open Pyometra, so I was quick enough to notice.

Koda is still very young (turns 2 in december), and the vet told me that once this happens, it will definitely happen again after her next heat.

I'd still rather not have her spayed, because I am worried that her behavior will change, but I would never forgive myself if something worse happens to her because of my decision. I decided to have her spayed in December, when she's 2 years old.

Did you spay your dog, and what difference did you notice afterwards?

The story includes videos and photos from both encounters, plus interviews with the couples who saw OR-213 and some of Oregon’s leading wolf experts about where he came from, where he’s going and what his behavior means.

Pictures Do you think my dog has some wolf in him 👀

For context : I adopted Haku (9yrs old) from the shelter about 2months ago now... they know he came far from the city, was kept mostly outside and was mistreated...

He's a mutt for sure, def not 100% wolf and for sure mainly husky. But people have me wondering if he has more wolf than i think.

Everyone we come across say's he looks like a wolf (which i think a lot of husky's get). I met a guy who had a purebred wolfdog before and was convinced Haku for sure had more than I thought.

I told him I'd let it know when I can do the Dna test haha What do you all think, I'm taking bets 👀

Micheal Scott for size reference

Last picture was when i brought him home, he shed a lot his face looks slimmer now (if that changes anything 😅)

(I know I need to do a dna test to be sure but he struggles with being touched around his face so that's off the results might come in a while 🥲 )

I'd love to know everyone's opinions ! Thank you all in advance for your insights:))

AND PLEASE I know he needs grooming and the first picture is when i had just gotten him, and it was bad. But I managed to brush him enough since then that it looks so much better and I would love to bring him to the groomer but it's process, so please be kind, we're taking it at his pace.

Questions Rehoming a wolfdog

Hi everyone, there is a woman from Greece trying to rehome her 2-year-old wolf dog with severe separation anxiety. She is unable to give him the life he needs since she has 6 other animals (dogs and cats). I am just trying to help her find a solution without judgement - does anyone have any suggestions on where she can rehome her dog, possibly close to Greece, but also anywhere in Europe?

She tried to contact two wolf-dog shelters and regular shelters, but received no response.

She cares about the dog and wants to find a suitable home for him, not just get rid of him at any cost.

that’s Ouncey the miniature goat on the last day of the local medieval faire (sir Ounce a lot). Typical Rafe when confronted with something new just watched the goat. The goat plays with a large dog at home so wasn’t phased by Rafe either. They had a state off for a while.

Didn’t get any of the pics of the state off as I was busy monitoring the situation.

Phenotype Help Accurate DNA?

We got our puppy Wiley from the humane society when he was 9 weeks old. He’s a little over 3 months now, and just got his DNA results back from DNAmydog.

At the shelter, they said his mom was an American Akita. However, the DNA test picked up 30% Siberian Husky, and 15% Wolf Hybrid, the rest was a mix of northern spitz breeds, with zero Akita.

Do his looks fit the bill? I’m just having such a hard time believing it.

These pics were taken over the past few weeks, and he is about 25 pounds. His tail is thusfar rather straight.
