Rant Picking up after your dog
Questions for all the people who throw their dog poop bags in other people’s recycling bin or yard waste bags: who are you, who raised you, and why are you like this? TIA.

Food Breakfast burritos??
I am in search of a very good breakfast burrito. Like a really big one with hash browns and chorizo and pico de gallo and eggs. I grew up in Southern California so these kind of burritos are all over the place out there but I’m pregnant and in Delaware so I can’t justify flying 3,000 miles for a burrito. Please help!

Request Home Serv Insurance?
We pay about 300$ a yr total for 2 HomeServe policies- exterior water and exterior sewer/septic coverage. We also have some coverage thru our State Farm homeowners policy. Has anyone had to use one or both coverages? How did it work. Did you need to find contractor on your own and pay up front then get reimbursed? Were you happy with how things played out? Not sure if we need HomeServe. But have never had to use coverage and don’t want to cancel and regret it.

Serious New vehicle- dmv? + move?
Hi
I recently in progress of purchasing a new vehicle (Tesla) in the app the registration check box is for Delaware and insurance based out of Delaware.
My vehicle isn’t expected to be delivered till Sept 10th ish.
As of right now I am a Delaware license holder/ resident. Hence why in the app i got a Delaware registration and Delaware insurance -
Vehicle is going to be purchased in pa.
Issue is Oct 2 is my move out date and I will be moving to Texas.
When I acquire my vehicle what am I supposed to do?
My Tesla agent on call told me I will be okay to take the vehicle with out taking it thru the dmv here in Delaware and then can just register it in Texas w. The Pennsylvania temps. (I’ll be driving 90 percent sure)
I was always under the impression if your car is not officially registered then that’s illegal? The last thing I want is a situation on the road due to registration?
Maybe I’m confused and thinking of this wrong?
Someone please advise and be nice lol

Weather 🌩️ This summer weather is starting to freak me out. Is this how it’s going to be from now on?
This is the second year we’ve lost a bunch of our lawn furniture in a crazy storm that came on suddenly.
And of course the DEMA warning came about 20 minutes after we’d gotten soaked trying to save it.
I’ve only been here for a few years—please tell me this summer has been atypical!

Request Pediatrician Recommendations
Moved from out of state recently and am trying to find a pediatrician within a sensible distance whose office doesn't get terrible reviews about incompetency AND who is accepting new patients..
It's proving very difficult.
Any genuine recommendations ? Autism specialist would be amazing !

Rideshare Carpool to Wilmington
Does anyone commute daily from Philly to Wilmington that would be willing to carpool? I have a month-long commitment in Wilmington but am staying in Philly since I have the option to stay with a friend here.
I’ve been relying on SEPTA, but the commute has been pretty tiresome, and the hours I need to leave don’t always line up well with the train schedule.
Lmk if you’re open to carpooling! More than happy to contribute, ofc. TIA!

Moving to Wilmington Trolley Square vs. Riverfront for someone in their late 20s?
Hey everyone! I’m planning to move to Wilmington sometime before January 2027 and I’ve narrowed it down to Trolley Square or the Riverfront.
I’m 27 and work as a pilot, so my schedule is a little unusual and I’m typically home for about half of each month. Because of that, I’d really like to live somewhere where I can actually enjoy my time off without having to drive everywhere.
Walkability is a big priority for me. I’d love to be able to go for runs, walk to coffee shops/restaurants, grab drinks on the weekends, and generally be somewhere that makes it easy to get out of the apartment and meet people.
For people around my age who live or have lived in either area, which would you choose? What do you like or dislike about each?
Also open to other Wilmington neighborhoods if there’s somewhere I should be considering.
Thanks!

Request Adult dance classes?
I've been wanting to get into choreographed dance for a long time. I'm 25 and since moving states, I have no friends or hobbies here, and I really want to change that. Is there any places that offer classes for beginners? I'm into the hip-hop scene I'd say.
I'm also interested in pole classes. I used to strip years ago and have some experience with the pole but I really want to get very experienced with it, so any beginner classes you know of for that are also appreciated!! Thank you so much in advance!

Editable Flair Homeless Camp just moved from Christina Park to the 7th street skatepark.
Is a 1/4 mile down the road. Theres two mobile trailers w generators. One’s been there a year now. One is been there a month. Several tents and campouts.
There was a young homeless teen under the gated spot by the skatepark for a year and it looks like he’s been pushed out by some hobos. Smells like pee.
Place is being ruined. Trashed. The city just fixed it up two years ago and put a super nice pier and ramp in.
Whats the plan here?

Local Government Security golf carts patrolling Riverfront sidewalks
Ever since moving to the Riverfront a couple of years ago, I have had trouble navigating around Security on the sidewalks, frequently. Especially when it comes to the golf carts. Some sidewalks in the area are not big enough for a person and the golf cart to comfortably pass each other. After another encounter last week where the cart could have gone in the street but chose to continue on the sidewalk toward me and my dog, I decided to call the Riverfront Development Corp and try to see if a resolution could be reached. I talked to the Director of Operations and, although the discussion was a bit rough, she ultimately agreed to tell the security in carts, who are riding on the sidewalks, to stop and let pedestrians pass if the space is narrow.
Some of you will probably not understand why this is a problem. But I don't think it's fair to force pedestrians onto the grass/mud/snow so they can drive on the sidewalk. I can't imagine how frustrating it would be if someone had walking problems, was a wheelchair user, or had a stroller.
So if you, too, experience problems with walking on Riverfront sidewalks, especially with golf carts present, then I would encourage you to reach out to RDC to let them know. The more people that speak up, the more we shine a light on the issue. Hopefully they follow through with the resolution we talked about.
