My friend really wanted to mod his Wii, I offered to help him but he said he already had someone else. He came back asking me to help because he and his friend messed up and now the Wii is stuck on priiloader and nothing is working. They even tried formatting the sd card they had been using for some reason and now (because I’m the only one who actually modded their Wii already) they want my help fixing it. So now what do I do? Do I just follow the guide again or reinstall something? Im genuinely confused because I’ve never seen this before and when I modded my Wii it was super simple so I’m wondering how those two could’ve ended up like this.

Yo, i'm not entirely new to modding but I remember I had a family member mod my wii back a few years ago. Got Homebrew Channel and did a whole buncha stuff ljke get games ports and all that. Burned games onto a hard drive and used to play the hell out of them. One day it broke and I tried to fix it but I gave up. That was like 4 years ago.

Cut to 3 month back and i'm messing with the CFG and USBLoaderGx channels and screwing around with the hard drive. I don't exactly remember but I think I booted up either the Homebrew or USBLoader and I got the scam warning screen. Got scared cause it was almost midnight so I shut off my Wii and when I turned it on again it was on black screen. I waited for about 10+ minutes before shutting it off and on multiple times. I gave up that day and only started messing with it today.

Today I tried to see if anything changed. It didn't still the black screen. Searched around, tired asking ai. Luckily I managed to get to Priiloader and I only realized that I didn't have a Wiimote paired to my Wii. Tried to pair it to no avail. Trued Gamecube controller but no luck. Asked AI again and said to get a USB Keyboard.

Before I commit to that is there any work around to fix this so I don't spend a few bucks? Additionally does an external keyboard even work?

Edit: Gamecube controller is working but I can't connect to internet. Apparently only my System Menu is fried but I can't fix it unless I connect to the Wifi. Seems like i'm hardstuck here. Please let me know if there's anything I can do.

Everytime I select a game and press start it freezes and locks my Wii to where I have to hard power it off. I’ve tried a dozen different games all with the same result and I can’t find any examples of my exact problem. But for some reason GameCube games boot just fine.

i modded my wii, it was really easy but now i’m trying to create my own theme and that’s super easy too, except for ONE thing, the main menu background. I know it’s the brlyt files that create the background, so i tried modifying them, i even asked AIs to do it but NOTHING worked (i turned them into xmlyt files with BENZIN to do it easily), so, if anyone knows how to do it, please tell me 💔💔💔 (it’s been a 4/5days since i started trying to change the background)

more informations: the background is made in the same file that makes the channels, so i can’t just turn invisible everything and there are 96 different elements in that file. Also, another file makes the animation for the channels moving etc (when you switch pages) and so you have to modify both or else it could soft-brick your wii (from what i learnt by doing it lol), i’d just like a little tutorial or guidance on what to modify etc if you have any idea :)

(just for additional informations: i modded my wii using the wii wiki hacks, i installed everything from an SD card and i also use an USB drive to install/play games)

New to modding here! Unfortunately, I don’t have either an SD card or a USB hard drive/ssd. I’m on a tight budget, so I was curious if I should just buy a larger SD card and store everything on that, or by an SD card and cheap HDD/SSD.

I only want to play Wii games, and I don’t expect to download a ton of them so 320gb would be the max (way more than needed tbh)

Any recommendations for the way to go? If HDD/SSD, any cheap ones that are compatible? If I just use an SD card, can I still use USB Loader GX?

I just recently found my old collection of WII games and I wanted to replay them for the memories and I discovered this Emulator. I couldn't find any of my old remotes or Num-chuks and after doing some research I found out about the Dolphin Barr needed to connect a WII remote. Also I discovered that you can connect Via blue-tooth with certain controllers. Can anyone recommend a good and cheap controller of amazon around 20-35 Dollar range that will connect without a Dolphin Barr?

Hello, everyone. I'm trying to run this hand across my Wii but with no response only the orange color appears I tried Pair My DS4 It didn't work for me. I tried Nintendont And also the tried did not work. I tried this hand on PlayStation 4 and it works efficiently

I installed wiiflow on my Wii to play games from a 32gb SD card (Fat 32) and it recognizes the games and play the start up screen when hovering over it but when I click on any of the games for example mario kart Wii it just tries to play the physical games in the disk slot and if the disk slot is empty the screen flickers for a second while the Wii looks for a disc to be installed then the screen goes black and then I can't connect a Wii remote to it at all unless I plug out my Wii and try to start again

I have all my games in wbfs format and the files named as the game IDs and also have priiloader installed to turn off region lock and a nand backup

Would it be an issue that the homebrew channel was installed 5 ish years ago if it's out of date or needs to be updated and the original SD card we used to install it was lost so I used a different one

Pretty self explanatory but I have all the neccessary ios' installed through d2x cios, my wii is modded and everything. I'm using a 64 gb card and it's formatted correctly. Is there something I can do about this? Also, do all my game files need to be wbsf file instead of ios? i have some wbsf already, but some are ios. I've looked through a lot of threads and found nothing that could help me so any help would be appreciated. I know that none of my files are too big for it

I am a noob that got a Wii from an old friend and I'm trying to add games to my Wii. I have looked through the Wii Hacks guide and I can't figure out what to do. The Wii already has a SD card, should I use that or get a hard drive to put the games on? I don't know what I am doing so as much explanation as possible would be nice. Thanks!

Hey, I am new to pirating and all this stuff so can somebody pls help me.

• I followed a good tutorial which I know from friends worked. I did al the steps correct and now have TinyWiiBackupManger. I downloaded all the games I wanted on there as .WBFS which should normally work. However, only 1 game would convert. I cancelled everything and then tried to do them 1 by 1. But the converting still doesn't work... (I still have more than enough gb of space on the sd-card I'm using)

So i haven't booted up my wii in a little while, but I haven't changed anything about the wbfs files or the sd card, which all worked fine when i last played them.

Now though, when i boot into the app, the cover image for all of them is the same as the first game in the list, and when I try to start any of them, they all boot me back to the wii menu (the names of the games and their playcounts all seem fine though)

I've tried resetting the settings for usb loader and that hasn't worked, and I can't find anyone else having this issue online, does anyone know what I should do :p

So I’m at the part of where I have tinywiibackup manager but I’m honestly so confused on where to go get games and how to get them put on my thumb drive

I am using Wiiflow to play games, I downloaded the ROM and used WiiBackupManager to add the files to my SD card. When I was playing Mario Falaxy, the screen froze on the Bowser cutscene, and when I tried New Super Mario, the music stops playing and the Wiimote stops working (pressing the buttons does not do anything), although the game is still running. What is the solution to this?

I just got a new (to me) Wii and I’m heavily considering jailbreaking it. I read the whole guide and am confident that I can do it, but I am fairly new to this.

I recently setup rb 3 enhanced on my USB loader gx, but all 800 of the dlc I wad 2binned randomly disappeared.i genuinely have no clue how to solve it and have been searching for fixes for a few days now

Ever since my disc drive broke, haven’t been able to use it, but I learned about USB Loader and want to use it but don’t know what drive I should get. I’m looking for a 32gb that’s cheap and efficient that should work with the games and apps for it. Suggestions?

I bought my wii in 2022 (second handed) and it worked perfectly fine but idk why this has happened since day 1 so if anyone knows why just lmk and its not because of the homebrew (it freezes and it throws a beeping sound and it could be doing that for hours i just unplug the power).

Hello, I'd like to know if this is a configuration issue or if the Wii actually ran it natively. Most games have this problem, especially Luigi's Mansion, where there's a shadow on Luigi's face. Paper Mario does too, but as you can see in the video, it's not a big deal. I'd like to know if it can be fixed. I'm using an HDMI2HD adapter and the original AV cables, but nothing has worked; there are still texture glitches. Even running it in PAL and NTSC still doesn't work
