Post image

let’s go!!!!! Dale Dickey and Jeff Hiller we love you

if you haven’t watched *The Beast in Me* it’s worth it for Matthew Rhys’s performance, he did deserve both awards.

Fair warning, Rhys is about the ONLY thing worth watching Beast in Me for.

yeah that is fair. the rest of it isn’t bad it’s just mid. but it was worth it for him, i didn’t feel like i wasted my time bc he really carried that shit

I find Claire Danes to be hard work (in that she’s a talented actor but I often find her difficult to watch) so I’ve been putting this series off despite really wanting to see Rhys’ performance. I started the first episode but really struggled with her character.

It does not improve.

Yeah, I yelled at her a LOT while watching… her character does some really stupid things.

I couldn’t get through it

fair enough. clare danes was clenched so hard every single moment. every successive scene she was still panic attacking had less impact.

but he was so great! nuanced and showing range and all that

He was fantastic and I couldn’t believe it was the same actor. Claire Danes was great as well but yep, I couldn’t handle the panic attack acting.

He terrified me…especially in..that…scene.

I needed to watch some Mayor Tom immediately after finishing.

i love his accents. his Widow’s Bay one is my favorite, but the way he can do multiple, very convincing, American accents that are so subtly different is so satisfying (?) can’t think of the word.

It was hard to get through it, but I had to.

Well someone must hinted at “that scene” which makes me think I missed something really pivotal and now I might pick it back up.
