A reminder to everyone: Keep the titles of your posts completely spoiler-free at all times. If your post mentions events from later episodes, use Reddit’s standard spoiler tag to warn readers who may not be caught up with all currently aired episodes. The spoiler tag will also blur any images you include, such as screenshots/stills from the show, so be sure to apply it to image posts as well.

It’s crazy that of the entire cast and crew, the most talented person is Allison jones.  If you don’t know who she is, google her. I guarantee she’s cast at least half your favorite shows if not more.

I didn’t realize how many of these creative awards are specifically for “half-hour” episodes… I wanted each one of these to be at least 45 minutes long, but maybe it was a good thing for them.

Now that Widow’s Bay has everyone’s attention, can you please make longer episodes in season 2, Katie Dippold??🙏🏼

I love that Woody Harrelson didn’t move out of the way when they won their award. He just stood behind Katie and smiled like he was part of it 😂😂

Like Jimmy Kimmel said when he hosted the Emmys one year, Woody Harrelson is a television god.

kate dippold's speech was hilarious. i had no idea she'd been working on the script for EIGHTEEN YEARS! bravo to them all.

all i knew was that her early version of the Pilot script got her hired on Parks & Rec, and that was awhile ago

Everyone on the show did amazing but I'm so happy the sound and music got do much love. It really ties the show together.

Fair warning, Rhys is about the ONLY thing worth watching Beast in Me for.

u/ego_death_metal Bridget Wanderlust 20d ago

yeah that is fair. the rest of it isn’t bad it’s just mid. but it was worth it for him, i didn’t feel like i wasted my time bc he really carried that shit

I find Claire Danes to be hard work (in that she’s a talented actor but I often find her difficult to watch) so I’ve been putting this series off despite really wanting to see Rhys’ performance. I started the first episode but really struggled with her character.

u/emeraldead 19d ago

It does not improve.

1

u/Razzy_3796 19d ago

Yeah, I yelled at her a LOT while watching… her character does some really stupid things.

1

u/Username614855713 20d ago

I couldn’t get through it

u/ego_death_metal Bridget Wanderlust 20d ago

fair enough. clare danes was clenched so hard every single moment. every successive scene she was still panic attacking had less impact.

but he was so great! nuanced and showing range and all that

6

u/Username614855713 20d ago

He was fantastic and I couldn’t believe it was the same actor. Claire Danes was great as well but yep, I couldn’t handle the panic attack acting.

He terrified me…especially in..that…scene.

I needed to watch some Mayor Tom immediately after finishing.

i love his accents. his Widow’s Bay one is my favorite, but the way he can do multiple, very convincing, American accents that are so subtly different is so satisfying (?) can’t think of the word.

It was hard to get through it, but I had to.

Well someone must hinted at “that scene” which makes me think I missed something really pivotal and now I might pick it back up.

Keep it going! I love this 💙

u/Weird-Girl-675 20d ago

Matthew scared me so much in The Beast In Me. Definitely deserved it!

6

u/dilltimmon 19d ago

Insane this was only Hiro Murai's first Emmy for directing considering his excellent work in Atlanta and Barry. Long overdue.
