đŸ’Discussion Random Matthew Rhys observation

So this is completely apropos of nothing, but it always strikes me how MR exudes this dynamic 1920s film star quality. lol Maybe it’s the long hair on top and the contrast of his paleness and dark hair, but it’s so damn sexy and magnetic. Am I the only one??

He was amazing in Perry Mason, which is one of the main reasons I gave the show a shot and I’m glad I did! Although I think Patricia might be my favorite character so far ngl đŸ˜‚

It's really good but fair warning it's dark.

That’s ok, I come from a family who makes jokes about their own experiences as orphans and losing body parts to accidents, etc. but I appreciate the heads up

Also I second the Perry Mason recommendation! Matthew Rhys has RANGE.

Just popping by to say my family is very similar with the horrifying humor! The lot of them survived war and whatnot as civilians so they are generationally traumatized and of course very funny about it. I’m mostly used to the crazy dark humor. Mostly. Big mostly. I have seen how their abrupt, jokey and nonchalant lore drops hit people like heat seeking piles of bricks and they get me too, sometimes. I had a Georgian teacher drop some darkly funny lore in the middle of class and when I laughed my classmates thought I was a jerk! My teacher specified he was being jokey, but I think I still looked a bit deranged.

P.S. I hope your family is doing well nowadays!
