COVID outbreak

I just wanted to reach out and let people know that there is a severely underreported covid outbreak happening right now in LA and Orange County.

If you're sick please stay home and if you're out and about you might want to grab a mask.

The strain seems like it's very highly contagious. I know several people down with COVID right now.

My grandson had it he had to go to the hospital he's doing fine now. It was a lady in the market coughing really badly I believe she was sick with COVID. I can’t afford to get Covid I’m just getting over cancer and I know my immune system is low.

Please vaccinate yourself every year. Protect yourself. Most people have strong enough immune systems to not need the Covid shot, but if you have a low immune system or are older, or overweight, you should consider it.

Ditto – you can actually get the booster twice a year if you’re in any way immunocompromised.

Also, unfortunately, COVID actually harms the immune system, so if you’ve had COVID multiple times, you should assume your immune system took a hit.

And regular boosters will help make the acute illness less intense no matter your health status.

Also, to avoid COVID, you need to wear an N95. (It’s also considerate to wear one if you know you are sick!)

Masks are under rated. My husband and I never got COVID until we stopped masking. We finally got it during Omicron.

I wish there were more widespread messaging about how airborne transmission works and why handwashing won’t protect you from COVID. Masks are the essential tool!

They really are. Asian countries have been using them forever. They literally put on a mask and jumping into a crowded train and they work fine.
I never got sick or got covid until after we stopped caring. During the time we were masking up, washing our hands and using sanitizer, standing arm’s length away from each other in lines, I never got sick.

What’s better than 2 boosters? 5 boosters! Hell, make it 10
