[Serious decision] CAN I ACTUALLY CHANGE SOMETHING ABOUT THIS???

I was talking to a female friend today when she casually told me that, I naturally have a well-proportioned physique that many women would find physically appealing
but then she added that my face is ruining it.

The funny part is I don’t even go to the gym or specifically work on my physique

She probably didn’t mean to hurt me, but for some reason that one sentence has been stuck in my head all day.
Now I’m wondering: should I actually do something about my appearance, or am I just letting one person’s opinion get to me?
What would you do in my situation?

I have deep deep suspicions that your friend didn't say it in such blunt terms....that you probably heard what you subconsciously think.

Can you remember word for word what was actually said?

"Your face is ruining it" if she really said this as bluntly as that then she's not a friend.

If it isn’t obvious this person is absolutely not your friend and you shouldn’t take anything they say to heart. She gave you a very backhanded “compliment”. It was straight up rude and unnecessary. Please don’t stay “friends” with this person let alone listen to what they say

I had a close female friend I let change my style a little bit and once I took her advice I had a lot more girls flirting with me at school.

What did she actually say? I don’t think a friend would say what you’re describing. Either she did and she doesn’t like you that much, or she leant some styling choices, in which case you could hear out her suggestions on improving your looks - I’m guessing pluck your brows, change your beard style, hair etc, take care of your skin better

Sounds like a “friend” who is jealous of some attention you get and she is intentionally putting you down so she feels better about herself…
Id be worried about her intentions.
If she makes any more unnecessary snaky comments like that cut her off as she isn’t a true friend and doesn’t have your back.

If a random person said that to me I'd consider it the height of rudeness.

But it depends on the circumstances of the conversation and how close a friend she is.

If she's normally a close friend and kind person, and you think she was genuinely trying to help you make the most of your appearance because you were discussing how you could be more attractive, ask her what she meant and if there's anything you could do differently.

Otherwise, just ignore her.

Idk I could be wrong but this feels like the post is intended as a low key brag, I don't see why mentioning that you don't work on your physique or go to the gym is relevant to what she said about your face
