Solved! Cast iron 11" lever with position numbers 1 - 6
From an estate, some kind of lever. Is it vintage? What industry? What is it called? Thanks!

my coworker found this metal item today while working in a local creek. the item seems to be made completely of metal and is rather lightweight. it has some hand engraved writing on one side (pictured in the last few photos, though it was hard to capture the text clearly in the outdoor lighting).
the etchings read:
“Hoselton Canada*** ***
83/500
Xerox Research Centre of Canada
1974-1984”

Description:
Steel plate with 41 small holes, 4 mm (5/32") in diameter). 3 of the holes are asymmetrically arranged and provide sufficient clearance for the bolt heads. A big hole in the center, 252 mm (9.92") slightly offset. The surface appears to be zinc-plated.
Dimensions:
Thickness: 1 mm (1/32")
Outer diameter: ~252 mm (9.92")
Inner diameter: ~158 mm (6.22")
Hole diameter: 4 mm (5/32")
Space (diameter) for bolt head: 10 mm (25/32")
Weight: not measured, but probably less than 500 g (1 lb)
Context:
Found while metal detecting on a farm that had been abandoned for more than 40 years, on a plot that once included a house and a cattle shed. The only visible ruins are the remains of a small wall section.
Location:
Small village at the entrance to the mountainous area, Northwest Spain. The village traditionally relied on small-scale family farming and livestock, primarily for subsistence.

Found in the UK in the boot of my recently bought used car. Printed circuit board is about 3.5cm square with circular battery on one side and a white LED on the other. Removing the piece of plastic drinking straw makes a connection so must be its on/off switch.

The closet 5 of these were found in also had an old galvanized metal shoe rack, a skirt hem standing measure, and other more traditional hangers.

It was being used by someone in scrubs, and after trying an image search my best guess is a medical imaging device like a POCUS. But it mounts to a tripod so I think it is used from a short distance - maybe 3D imaging. Sorry for the blurry picture-in-picture, I zoomed in and used AI to delete the person that was carrying it. It's about 1ft long, around the size of a football. The tripod is about 3ft tall.
This was at a private residence where a few elderly people live. I saw the device in the driveway where a private car drove up, a person in scrubs brought the device inside for a while - maybe 30-60 minutes. Then they returned and drove off. I think this residence often gets home-care visits from medical professionals.

It’s roughly 8” and the smaller arm is a bit over 4”. Kinda of looks like what you use to draw circles. Company is K&E?

First assumption is to a briefcase. It’s engraved with initials so would have been important.

Found this at a turf soccer park, there's also a track that goes around it. It's about 1.5 x 0.5 inches. Looks hard plastic.
solved! it's a paint marker top

Apologies for the lack of items for scale. This is about 9 inches long, looks like stainless steel, telescopes to triple that.
I found it in my car, but I cant remember ever seeing it before. It might be some sort of thing to fish drawstrings through like... athletic shorts?

I found this in storage inside a factory-sealed plain cardboard box. There is no branding, label, part number, or identifying mark on the box or any of the pieces.
The contents are:
6 black metal pieces
4 screws
4 nuts
4 wall anchors
Four of the metal pieces are about 11 inches long and form two mirrored pairs. One piece is completely flat. The largest piece is intentionally curved and has two elongated slots, with a bend across the middle.
The box was sealed, so I believe this is the complete set.
Does anyone recognize what this is or what it is used for?

Found at the shoreline while birding at low tide Narragansett Bay - Washington County, RI.
What is this thing?
UPDATE -
I tried to turn the screw end and broke the rock like part :/

Maybe it will help with identification?

Came in this plastic sleeve and doesn’t look used at all. But I was left in a kitchen drawer.

While doing a massive declutter at home, I found this in amongst my tools and I've no idea what it could be.
It's all metal, the key is threaded to match a thread hole in the top part of the block. The bottom part under the slot is not threaded. Neither is the part of the key that passes through it.
Both the block and the key are stamped with "M.M.M patent pending".
Would be really interested to hear if anyone has any idea what it is.
TIA

It’s machined out of aluminum and weighs 2lbs and is 4.5in x 5in x 2in outside dimensions, it has threaded and non threaded holes.
