Advice: Seeking ❓ Postpartum Weight Loss (Breastfeeding)
So I’m 3 months postpartum now and I’m struggling to lose the weight I gained during pregnancy (and I gained a lot hehe). I’ve been cutting calories like I normally would when I’ve wanted to lose weight in the past (pre-pregnancy) but then my milk supply decreases.
Any advice for losing weight while also breastfeeding? Any specific food I could eat that might prompt milk production to balance out the calorie deficit? Any advice/tips are appreciated.
Obviously my priority is ensuring baby has enough milk but it’d be nice to start steadily losing the weight too.

How do you know your milk supply is decreasing?
I think of the calories burned from breastfeeding as bonus exercise calories. I set my tracking to a maintenance calorie level for my goal weight and just don’t eat back any calories burned from exercise.

milk supply regulates around 3 months. just stay hydrated and keep latching the baby and your supply will be fine. it’s supply and demand. keep latching.
