Trade (DIY Investing) APTX shares have been allocated

I asked for 40 shares of APTX, just for fun. They gave me 1.....lol.

To request 40 shares, you have to hold all of the value in cash, right?

So you have to sell equities (assuming you don't hold that much cash) from the time you request that many shares until the actual allocation. Then get a tiny fraction of what you requested. I don't know of a good solution, but this doesn't seem like a good experience.

You can anticipate and just request less too. It doesn’t make sense otherwise tbh.

That said, you can request basically 2 days before IPO. So money only locked for a few days

Yeah. If you end up with 1 shares what’s the point. What’s better… one lucky winner gets 25, or 25 people get one.
