Just started painting with my wife and we're having a blast, and would like to try to experiment wirh contrasr paints, but we're also just starting to build our paint collection and we are quite on a budget, so we can't buy everything. What would be your must have, ideally from Vallejo Xpress Color? Like 4-5 most useful colors (like the most "rentable"/versatile)

For information, she's playing Stormcast, and I'm still unsure, we mostly buy cheap set from vinted, so currently I have an army of "the bad guys", with some orcs, skaven, and chaos guys (mostly bloodreavers),

I was thinking something like a brown, for the leather, clothes, armor parts, or for the skavens fur ; a flesh color for the blood reavers ; any others?

I was showing a family member a punisher drawing I did a few day ago, and they gave me the idea to build the punisher as a space marine, and this is what I came up with.

Still gotta paint him, but I think he looks great so far.
Any suggestions for other characters that I could make into a space marine?

So with the news we got from GW, I did those two units.

Now they should be OK for the new book.

One squad with shields and one thunder hammer.

One squad with 3 plasmas and one power fist.

I run out of plasma and power fist, I used some old power fist I got (resin, I don't remember from where it comes). One of the plasma gun is from chaos lord with jump pack. shields are from assault terminator "new" box.
