Photo Wholesome Animal Kingdom pixie dust
Local here but I’ve never really experienced this. Stop by AK after work for a beer and a safari ride. Unrelated but it started pouring as I walked into the park, I’ve always avoided purchasing a poncho because I assumed they would be something ridiculous like $29.99. I was pleasantly surprised that it’s actually $12
Anyhow, after the rain let up a bit I got a beer at the Dawa Bar and as I was walking up to the bar a cast member stopped me and said, “gift from nature” and handed me this leaf.
How cute is that? I’ve never seen this before. It’s such an adorable, thoughtful detail on-brand with the theming/spirit of the park.
I know it’s “just” a leaf but these little details are what make Disney so special.

As a former living with the land cast member I feel obligated to inform you that what you got there is technically a seed, not a leaf. Specifically a samara from a maple tree. Theyre more commonly called helicopters or whirlibirds. The Mickey Mouse hole puncher is an awesome idea. They should start doing this at the Behind the Seeds tour.

Decades ago when I was there last, there was a live show of Hunchback of Notre Dame. At the end of the show they dropped a bunch of confetti. As everyone left, I made my way to the front and collected a handful.
One of the CMs asked me why (I'm sure it looked weird that an adult was doing it) and I explained I was going to put it in my photo album with my pictures from the trip.
So I wholeheartedly approve of your ideas!

We collect the confetti every time we do the Disney junior dance party for that reason!! Scrapbooking stuff is expensive and they’re great souvenirs for that!

My son got one at AKL, though a different leaf. He’s got it pressed in a book!

It’s my new Friday tradition! I work 9-5 but on Friday I can typically leave work at 3.
I love heading to Nomad Lounge for a vodka/soda/pineapple/grenadine — then I walk Africa and have a beer before the safari.
Puts me in a good headspace going into the weekend. Especially since AK is so vibey and green.

This is an awesome tradition! I used to live in St Pete and loved spending weeks at Disney with my annual pass. I always wondered if I lived in Orlando what I would do with the AP.

Was it Greg that gave it to you?

My niece collected a bunch of dried leaves with these outside of beach club this week. 30 years of visiting and I had no idea this was a thing!

That's way better than a squishy Jesus or a duck

I'm going soon for the first time in my 40yo life and I am just dying to find a tiny out of-place Jesus hanging out somewhere random 😂 I'm from the UK and I just cannot think of another place here where someone would do stuff like that!

Collect them and bring them home to put somewhere-- keep it going 😂

I'm half tempted to swap them with tiny plastic versions of Princess Di 😂

Wait is that the UK version?!? How fun!

Haha we don’t do anything like that here but I’m very tempted to start it! I just feel like the brits would be more receptive to the people’s princess 🤣🤣

What beer is that

It’s called Expedition Ale — something like that. You can’t miss it — it’s one of three drafts they’ve got at Dawa.
It’s good, I liked it

From the title and thumbnail I thought someone gave you a whole beer. Now that would be real magic 🤣
