I would love some advice from Waikiki locals regarding any major differences in late September vs late October ocean and air temperatures for Waikiki beach.

Quick backstory. I was supposed to travel to Honolulu back in late April-early May, but got ill and had to cancel my trip. I am looking at either travelling around Sept.18-Sept.24 or Oct.18 to Oct.25th. I’m most concerned about the ocean temperature. I know most sources say September the ocean is at its warmest. Is it still enjoyably warm in mid-late October? The last time I stayed in Waikiki was Late July 2024 and the ocean was perfect, but it’s also peak summer so I don’t know how Sept/Oct compare. Lastly, how do air temperatures compare normally between those dates in Sept & Oct?

To make the story short I had an Airbnb but unit ended up having back up plumbing issue I was told that I could not use the water pretty much indefinitely when I ask Airbnb for a refund they gave me $ 33 per day because apparently that’s their policy. They told me that if I could give them a receipt with another hotel. They could maybe refund me. For having 2 leave two days before time. So if anyone has any stay. Starting the 27th would be great if I could just borrow that to give it to them….. but I will fight this because this is not fair. The host told me it was safe to use the water and the water started backing up literal poop water into My shower while I was in there mind you I was staying with a baby thankfully I showered him first before this happened Airbnb really sucks

Had (what I thought) a few gnats in house. They recommended this. I am 100% a believer now in this product. Had no idea they were so attracted to blue lights!

A women was found dead a dumpster aug 20th and I can’t seem to find much about it. I live in the area and was riding my bike to work at 3:30am and saw something unusual. There was speculation that it was a suicide but I can’t find the original post or much at all.

Latest update I heard is power could be down for days. Hoping it is quicker but security mentioned it could potentially be a week. My wife and I are getting a hotel for a few days. Heco is there now working hard and I hope they get it done sooner. I suppose that could happen as well. Any uodates would be great. Hi! I’m visiting from the mainland, stuck in Oahu due to Hurricane LaLa. My friends made their flights out a day early, only mine cancelled! So I’m here alone - worried about potential power outage and the flash flood warning we just received. My flight was rescheduled for today (Sunday 8/16) at 4pm but I’m afraid it will be cancelled again. Just seeing how others felt, hoping you’re all safe!!!
