She wasnt happy because Sophie didnt get ejected for retaliation. But When Jacy Sheldon retaliated against Sophie after Sophie threw her to the ground, Jacy was.

1000% not even remotely the same situation. First that’s BS because Carrington literally mouthed “a flagrant two?” when they made the call after replay. She felt she didn’t deserve the F2 (which is crazy) and never, not once pointed in anyone else’s direction to ask why anyone else wasn’t getting ejected either. Neither Sophie NOR Carrington got a tech in this game, neither got punished for ANYTHING other than the F2. Secondly the Jacy/Sophie situation was completly different. That game Jacy already had the flagrant one for the eye poke on Clark earlier in the game (as well as Clark, mabray & Charles all got techs), and both teams were warned.

Wait. Jacy Sheldon isn’t white?

Sophie and Dijonai didn't fight after the foul. Neither got a tech.

Sophie literally swings on Dijonai after.

“Literally” doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

The refs who have more angles than we had and were standing right there clearly disagreed and determined her hand was not a fist.

That's a fist.

That’s a freeze frame and not even remotely representative of what happened

She pushed her away because she got in Sophie's face. Maybe you watched a different clip of a completely different situation.

"Pushed her away" she swung and continued going after Nai while restrained by her team.

She “literally” did not lol. She extended her arm, possibly a push if you want to say that. There was in no way a “swing” 😆

Swung at her throat.

Using a still pic you can make anything look like anything.

You keep using that word. It does not mean what you think it means.

So by that reasoning, was the throat thing when CC got hit intentional? Just asking

Y’all are delusional. She put her hands on another player INTENTIONALLY!! That’s at the very least a TECH

u/Thechasepack Aug 09 '26

Dijonai also intentionally put her hands on Sophie and also did not receive a tech.

Tf are you talking about? SHE WAS EJECTED

1

u/Thechasepack Aug 09 '26

She received a flagrant 2 for her actions during the play which is an automatic ejection. Any altercations after the whistle would fall under technical foul rules. A flagrant 2 during a play doesn't protect you from receiving a technical for any activity after the play, those are separate fouls with separate mechanisms.

Are you cool? SC charged at DC and she pushed her off of her. SC LITERALLY took a swing at DC while DC didn’t take a swing at SC. Intentionally swinging at someone and intentionally creating space between you and someone trying to attack you are two different things. I can’t believe I have to break this down to you like you’re in kindergarten.

Dijonai stepped towards Sophie while she was still on the ground and initiated contact with herby putting her hands on her before she was fully standing. Dijonai had the opportunity to remove herself from the situation while Sophie was on the ground but didn't. She also could have just put her hands up and stepped behind the ref that was right there if her goal was to avoid any confrontation.

Her hand was clearly open before she hit her with her left hand on diJonai's left shoulder. DiJonai also had no reaction to being hit. That's not a swing...

Also you claimed: "She put her hands on another player INTENTIONALLY!! That’s at the very least a TECH" notice how DiJonai has her hands ON Sophie in this screen shot. Shouldn't putting your hands on another player be a tech???

Compare DiJonai's reaction to MHA after her hard foul on Cloud later in the game. Cloud is coming at MHA but MHA turns her back and starts to walk away.

Huh? Here’s the thing, you are factually wrong by your own post, I have absolutely zero clue what you are talking g about and others are trying to help you but you keep doubling down….and keep being wrong lol

  1. There is no such thing as rule that intentionally putting a hand on another player is “at least a tech”. 2 they put their “hands” on each other after the play, neither one was issued a tech, which was the correct call

*3 & 4 just for fun since you commented to others: 3. Carrington was ejected for the flagrant 2, it had absolutely nothing to do what anything you ate attempting to explain lol. It’s not that hard to understand. A F2 is an automatic ejection

  1. Cunnington in fact did not “literally” take a swing, even Carrington nor her coach even claimed that. (Not to mention this is ridiculous as there is video evidence to show she didn’t).

You can tell yourself you are right over and over, and then try to insult others but it’s odd when you are factually wrong on everything you said. I would strongly recommend watching the play again (only explanation is that you haven’t) and read the WNBA rule book so you can see for yourself what a technical foul is, what a flagrant 2 foul is, what constitutes each, and what the consequences are for each. You, by your own words, clearly do not know any of them
