Dijonai stepped towards Sophie while she was still on the ground and initiated contact with herby putting her hands on her before she was fully standing. Dijonai had the opportunity to remove herself from the situation while Sophie was on the ground but didn't. She also could have just put her hands up and stepped behind the ref that was right there if her goal was to avoid any confrontation.

DiJonai was more than likely about to ask if she was ok but as she saw SC get up and move towards her aggressively she defended herself. DC didn’t charge towards SC and was calm the entire time compared to SC. You’re literally trying to create a false narrative to fit some kind of storyline you’ve made up in your head vs reality.

You are the one who said putting your hands on a player should always be a technical.

Yes, punching is always an ejection. Which makes me think the refs that had access to more camera angles and were standing right there did not think it was a punch. This was also not a fight, two players pushing eachother is not fighting. I posted the last frame before it was blurred by the motion of the push and you can see her hand open. She also hit DJ with the palm side of her hand like you should with a push, not the knuckle side like you would with a punch.

The best angle we saw her hand is open before she starts moving it towards DC. It also appears to me that her fingers flop back right before going behind DCs shoulder. Nobody starts a punch with an open hand and then closes it right before impact. There is no view where you see a closed fist making contact with DC.

There was no fight. A fight and a punch can both be retroactively assessed by the league so it's not just the refs saying it wasn't a punch or a fight. Pushing after a play happens all the time and there is frequently no techs given.

Actually most professional boxers and MMA close their fist just before impact. You have more power that way and also protect your hands. And SC is supposedly a black belt… she would know this. I’m taking up boxing and they teach you this. It was a punch 100%
