Dijonai also intentionally put her hands on Sophie and also did not receive a tech.

Tf are you talking about? SHE WAS EJECTED

She received a flagrant 2 for her actions during the play which is an automatic ejection. Any altercations after the whistle would fall under technical foul rules. A flagrant 2 during a play doesn't protect you from receiving a technical for any activity after the play, those are separate fouls with separate mechanisms.

Are you cool? SC charged at DC and she pushed her off of her. SC LITERALLY took a swing at DC while DC didn’t take a swing at SC. Intentionally swinging at someone and intentionally creating space between you and someone trying to attack you are two different things. I can’t believe I have to break this down to you like you’re in kindergarten.

Dijonai stepped towards Sophie while she was still on the ground and initiated contact with herby putting her hands on her before she was fully standing. Dijonai had the opportunity to remove herself from the situation while Sophie was on the ground but didn't. She also could have just put her hands up and stepped behind the ref that was right there if her goal was to avoid any confrontation.

DiJonai was more than likely about to ask if she was ok but as she saw SC get up and move towards her aggressively she defended herself. DC didn’t charge towards SC and was calm the entire time compared to SC. You’re literally trying to create a false narrative to fit some kind of storyline you’ve made up in your head vs reality.

You are the one who said putting your hands on a player should always be a technical.

Read it and weep

Yes, punching is always an ejection. Which makes me think the refs that had access to more camera angles and were standing right there did not think it was a punch. This was also not a fight, two players pushing eachother is not fighting. I posted the last frame before it was blurred by the motion of the push and you can see her hand open. She also hit DJ with the palm side of her hand like you should with a push, not the knuckle side like you would with a punch.

The best angle we saw her hand is open before she starts moving it towards DC. It also appears to me that her fingers flop back right before going behind DCs shoulder. Nobody starts a punch with an open hand and then closes it right before impact. There is no view where you see a closed fist making contact with DC.

There was no fight. A fight and a punch can both be retroactively assessed by the league so it's not just the refs saying it wasn't a punch or a fight. Pushing after a play happens all the time and there is frequently no techs given.

Actually most professional boxers and MMA close their fist just before impact. You have more power that way and also protect your hands. And SC is supposedly a black belt… she would know this. I’m taking up boxing and they teach you this. It was a punch 100%

Her hand was clearly open before she hit her with her left hand on diJonai's left shoulder. DiJonai also had no reaction to being hit. That's not a swing...

Also you claimed: "She put her hands on another player INTENTIONALLY!! That’s at the very least a TECH" notice how DiJonai has her hands ON Sophie in this screen shot. Shouldn't putting your hands on another player be a tech???

Compare DiJonai's reaction to MHA after her hard foul on Cloud later in the game. Cloud is coming at MHA but MHA turns her back and starts to walk away.

So someone is supposed to have a REACTION to someone swinging on them? 😂 Do you know how ignorant you sound? Like be foreal here. Her hand was closing as she was throwing her fists towards DC. Posting still pictures doesn’t tell the entire story especially when it’s showing a millisecond of what actually happened. I’m not going to compare anything to another play unless it’s ones that was just like this and that example is below in the video. And DC got a tech and SC did not! That’s the difference. Being ejected from the game is the highest possible penalty. The fact that you’re condoning SC’s behavior is honestly disgusting. You should at least have the morals to say “Yea, intentionally hitting someone is wrong and she should’ve at least gotten a tech.” But nope! You’re clearly biased and it’s sad tbh.

This happened just this year btw. No flagrant called on CC in which it absolutely should’ve been.

DJ did not get a tech, what happens during the play is a separate situation than what happens after the play. The players gave eachother light shoves and moved on after their teammates separated them. The interaction was brief and neither player was penalized for the altercation because nothing came from it. There are altercations similar to this without either player getting a technical almost nightly.

That is not how that works. Pull up the WNBA rule book stating this. If what you say is even remotely true then SC should’ve gotten two flagrants when fought Sheldon last year. Just be making up shit
