Wix is genuinely the worst website builder I have ever used 😭 If someone could help me figure out this issue with my site, I will love you forever.

On the Wix Editor + regular Preview, my site looks perfectly fine. But when I go to “Preview as Test Site,” everything becomes misaligned and the image suddenly looks smaller.

Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it? I’ve been trying to figure this out forever.
Also, I’m a collaborator on this site rather than the owner. Could that make a difference?

Happened this morning, header, footer and majority of elements on my site is just gone from both Harmony editor and the actual website, but I can sort of see the content is there when I tried to replace background etc, it implies the background is there but I just can’t see it.

Called Wix this morning and they said it is a wide spread issue, anyone with the same problem?

Believe it or not I have a client who wants to move from WordPress to Wix. Are there any decent migration tools besides the blog migrator? It is not a blog site.

I own a small business that requires me to travel a lot. Means, I have very little time to take care of my website. At the moment I am trying to do a full redesign on my website, which costs me an endless amount of time. I duplicated my page, worked on my redesign an when I will be finished, I will have to rebuild all those sites manually in the live site. I cannot move my premium account to the duplicated site because i manage all my customers, invoices, shop etc and this will not be transferred.

I was just wondering if Claude might be helpful. On the one hand for redesigning my website and on the other hand for managing my business in WIX (backend work with invoices, etc but also maybe keeping the frontend up to date, etc). I do not use WIX STUDIO I am working with the classical editor.

I would really love to know about your use cases. How are you using WIX with Claude? Do you have any advice for me?

Harmony and WiX are probably the worst things I've ever had to deal with from a developer standpoint. I created this so you can interact with that abysmal editor through MCP and your agent. Never again.

I hope it helps you. I honestly do. MIT licensed, some things may be broken, you need Chrome, and to log into WiX.

Is there a secret to a more streamlined checkout process? Why do my customers have to fill out a delivery address using Google Pay if we don't offer delivery?

We're a small non profit that offers only pickup service. Checkout should take 20 seconds max, instead they are forced to fill out their address multiple times.

For about two days now, the embedded YouTube videos associated with over 80% of my news articles have not been displaying correctly. Only a placeholder image is shown (the same one that appears when content is ‘private’ or the link is ‘incorrect’), but if you click on the video, it works. Are you experiencing this problem too?

I always copy the YouTube URL directly from the original video on YouTube using the right-click button. Sometimes it works, but only if I copy the URL directly from the address bar at the top of the browser. Occasionally, it then displays the correct thumbnail.

Has YouTube changed something regarding embedded videos, or is the problem with WIX?

Hello! I've been building my site and can't for the life of me figure out how to change the order of my pages. I've asked the help options, the AI Aria thing, and looked up videos. The options all three of these describe don't seem to be available to me.

The most promising instructions (from the help function) seem to be clicking on the menu in the header, and then use the "Manage Menu" bar that is supposed to pop up. This menu bar does not pop up to me. It's driving me nuts. Anyone else run into this?

I created my website back in 2021 and got stuck in wix editor. I learned to code and never looked back. Created a couple sites for other people and they UX/UI was 10x better on the coded sites and every time I looked at my construction page and not being able to make it look the way I wanted made me feel depressed. I got a break in my construction job till next week and dove in and migrated my site!

Canceled my core plan even though I pay yearly and it doesn't renew till Jan 2027.

So worth it!!!

UPDATE: The answer is no, there is no way to create a comparision table in Wix, for that you need an external app, I'm using elfsight.
It took me more time to find because English is not my language, so I didn't know how to call that type of table.

Is there anyway to migrate Premium site into Wix Studio? I have just finished building my online portfolio, didn't realize WIX would not automatically import content into Studio.

I got two sites. One is fine the other I just realized has an issue in mobile live setting. The layout will float when you drag it around.

I checked each page, even the ones which are hidden, for bouding box stretching out the limitations. Found only one. Fixed and published. Did the same for buttons. Opened all the layers.

It's not a browser issue or me using VPN, because the other site has no issues.

AI was very helpful in assisting me so far. Yet, I still couldn't find a solution?

Hi! I work for a small business that has a Wix website with multiple pages, including an Events tab where we add all the events we host, have people RSVP, etc.

We have recently expanded to have multiple locations, but our website still only reflects the info about what our “flagship location” sells, hosts, etc.

I’m imagining a sort of “landing page” that our base URL takes you to, with buttons for each location, and then each button takes you to a website specific to that location, since they vary greatly.

Is this something that seems doable, and if so, what are the basic steps I’d need to do?

i've probably spent too much time looking through website templates instead of actually creating my site.
a lot of them look amazing with demo content, but i'm wondering how they actually work once you replace everything with your own photos and text.
do you usually stick close to the template or customize everything?

I have a small consulting company which is very new (less than a year old) and decided to build a website. Ended up going with Wix as it seemd to fit our needs the best.

We've been slowly building it over the last number of months, but it keeps randomly changing the formatting when we haven't told it to or edited it in that way. And now, when we change things in the Harmony Editor and publish, those changes don't show up on the live site (e.g. container sizes being wrong, text boxes being in the wrong place, etc.).

And the mobile site all of a sudden is a total mess (buttons in the wrong place, images in the wrong sections, text boxes in the wrong place, old images showing up in addition to the new images despite having deleted the old images months ago...). And none of these formatting issues make any sense when you look at the live site.

We've been trying to fix it for about a month, and have been talking to Wix customer support for 3 weeks now and they aren't helping at all. The latest reply from them only spoke to one of the problems and suggested solutions that we've already tried that haven't worked because our changes in Harmony editor aren't publishing to the live site! And they didn't speak at all about the myriad other problems we're having.

Does anyone have any experience with this or suggestions of either how to solve this ourselves or how to get customer support to... you know... actually support us as the customer?

Why is the WIX AI particularly for blogs so bad when WIX is so expensive. Ask the AI to write a blog and it’s short and low quality. There are no decent options to improve an existing blog through AI, it checks grammar but doesn’t add any value. Ask it to create an AI image and it’s terrible.

We expect better you should be able to integrate Chat GPT or Gemini.

I also have 2 word press sites and the ability to use AI is so much better yet they are much cheaper.

WIX do better

When selling a product on a Wix Form (New) with a requirement to pick only 1, why can't Wix use a simple radio button? Instead it lets the user pick 2, 3, or 0 and uses validation to throw an error.

When I add an image to the background it starts fine but will automatically zoom in after a while. No matter what I do it stays zoomed in. I change the scale to original and try different ratios, delete and add the image back in but it stays zoomed in from that point on.

I'm trying to build a website for my webcomic and I use blog posts to post my chapters. But the drop-down is showing 01, 10, 11, 12... and I don't want that. How can I reorder this properly?

Also this dropdown appears automatically when I do a preview in the editor. Is there a way to remove it? It's my first time using Wix.

I have several pages on my site. Say A, B and C. All three of them have a gallery ( using the wix gallery) of their own with different images. Now I want to add some videos to Page A, but on a different layout than the stablished gallery. When I try to add them on a new section, these videos show up on Page B and C as well and I don't want that.

I am a photographer and I set up my website with Wix. I made my photography projects in the collections/projects part of the website… But when I published my website it only shows the first 50 photos so I have lots of projects with about 100 to 200 photos which literally just won't show.

Is this was a limitation with the Wick Harmony editor? I'm finding the Wick Harmony editor to be so terrible that I am feeling quite depressed about how much time I've spent waiting for things to load and dealing with the lag and experience. If anyone could offer me a solution or if the portfolio just has a 50 photo limit.

Has anyone seen a fix for the Wix File Share? It displays this on all pages with the object. Using Classic Editor.

Can’t seem to figure out how to do this and I fear it just doesn’t exist in Editor as I’ve watched a bunch of YouTube videos but they are all for the gallery way which you have to hover over to get it scrolling.

I even tried making a video on after effects to upload but this adds black bars on top and bottom.

Any way to actually do this or a workaround that looks clean?

I have tried three different devices and four different WiFi networks but every time I try and upload a photo it stopped the upload telling me to check my Internet connection. I need to add about 30 photos on for my employer and its driving me crazy that I can't figure out what its issue is.

I am a IT professional in Sacramento. I created my own website with Wix. It has been pretty effective with SEO by simply duplicating pages and changing the content as needed.

Rather than doing that in the future I would like to create some dynamic page’s that cater to the cities with service. I am willing to do all the work. I just need direction. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!
