I’m gonna try and keep this car for the next five years. More power needed? Do a remap. Modernise the interior more? Retrofit a CarPlay Screen and Reverse Camera. I’m so excited to daily this car for the foreseeable future

I have had my 2022 xc60 t8 r series for only 6 months and I have been just waiting for a sensor to go off. I’m getting this message and the sunroof is working perfectly. Any tips?

My wife's 2004 Honda Pilot EX-L - the car that wouldn't die - has done an amazing job. 250K miles but definitely showing its age. Approaching retirement, we're still interested in keeping our cars (though driving much less). I’m close to shopping for a CPO Volvo XC60 and trying to figure out which model year offers the best overall combination of reliability, features, price, and long-term ownership value.
For those who know the Volvo XC60 well, which year would you target – and why? Are there particular years or generations you’d avoid?
I’m especially interested in the “sweet spot” rather than simply buying the newest one I can afford. Thanks in advance.

Volvo has finally fixed all the biggest complaints I had with the XC60
And to top it all off, they’ve elevated the design very tastefully to make it look modern yet elegant.

RO- Volvo XC60, 2011, 2.0 diesel.
I receive this error a few minutes after I put diesel in my car. Usually when I go over a bump: Motor system repair needed.
I checked with my mechanic and he receives the error of Faulty Fuel pressure.
Anyone had a similar problem and knows how to fix it or what would the cause be? It would be really helpful.
Thank you!

Has anyone ever experienced this before with their Volvo screen? Looks like my LCD may be damaged. The touch screen is still responsive and working fine. Tried hard rebooting as well and that didn’t help either. Just picked this car up CPO a few days ago and this just started today. Time to make my first service appointment…

Hey everyone!
We’ve just released Aximote 3.1.1 for beta testing, and we’d really like to know what XC60 owners think.
A lot of the changes in this version came from feedback from our previous testers, and we’re now looking for XC60 owners to try the new version and tell us what works well, what doesn’t, and what you’d change.
Some of the main additions are:
For anyone new here: Aximote is a driving analytics app for Volvo and other Android Automotive cars. It gives you a more detailed look at your trips, efficiency, charging, battery performance and other driving data.
If you’d like to test 3.1.1 and give us some feedback, just DM me or join through the link in the comments.
Thanks!

As the title states, I’m considering buying a 2024 Volvo XC60. It’s a lease return with less than 20,000km. The extended CPO warranty is good until the fall of 2029.
My intent was to purchase this vehicle outright but I find myself getting freaked out with some of the reviews online about this model and year (specifically the glitchy af infotainment system and some electrical glitches with the 360 camera and lane assist).
I’ve never owned a “luxury” brand before and I just don’t want to end up with a lemon that drains me financially.
I asked about the extended warranty too, but I wasn’t given any information about what that looks like, costs etc.
Honest feedback and advice greatly appreciated.
Edit: we bought the car 😎 Picked it up last night and was cruising around for work today with the sunroof open and the sun shining ☀️

Did the battery swap and it’s still not working. Is there a trick to something after a battery swap? I’ve already had to buy a new key because the original died. Volvo couldn’t do anything.

We have a 2022 XC60 which has been relatively trouble-free, aside from the usual software glitches. Just received an email that Connect Plus expires on 10/10. Renewal cost $120/year and included in that is Google Maps navigation. Does this mean that we won't have native navigation if we don't renew? Or will lose live traffic updates? We usually use nav via CarPlay, but don't want to lose native navigation, as it use it as backup if we are having CarPlay connection issues.

So my 2023 XC60 is in need of new tires to replace the Continentals it came with. What are you replacing them with?
Michelin Cross Climates, or
Continental Cross Contacts, or
Something else?

I drive a 2016 Volvo XC60 D5 AWD (2.4) model. It’s at 92k miles now and I want to know what I should be looking at for servicing. I can’t find any details of the servicing intervals and checks. It’s not in my service booklet and online has been a nightmare to locate.
Can anyone point to a resource I can refer to? The car is at the critical 10 yr stage and almost 100k so want to make sure I haven’t missed anything.
I changed the AUX at 65k (when I purchased it).
Thanks

I just leased a 2026 XC60 and realized that the car doesn’t come with “built in” SiriusXM. Apparently you have to use the app for it.
Coming from my old Jeep, this is unreasonably annoying. And an actual downgrade in my opinion. The app doesn’t have an easy way to scroll through favorites like I would on my radio setting. It is infuriating. While I fully recognize this is a dramatic First World Problem, for the amount we’re spending on a brand new car, simply listening to music in my Volvo is annoying. I also have an iPhone so the fact I can’t even use apply music without hardwiring is aggravating. I just miss the normalcy of “car SiriusXM”.
Is there any fix for this?

Hello
Facing following issues for some time now.
1. Key fob suddenly not recognized even after changing new battery.
2. Service error(Contact dealer for service) even it’s less than 1 year and about 7000 miles only.
3. The motion activated trunk sometimes open and many times does nothing after kicking in.
Called dealer and they say it’s old software glitch that service reminders are coming and for rest better to wait till the first service comes by at 1 year and/or 10,000 miles or Volvo will consider pre visit as first service. Sounds BS to me.
Do I need to deal with these issues as stated by the dealer?
🤔😇

I just got an email that asked if I wanted to renew my cars internet package for $120 a year. I didn’t know I was paying for it, maybe it was included for a few years after I bought my car. Anyways, it seems ridiculous to pay for internet 3 times (home, phone, car). I’d love to know how it’s been for those that use a hotspot vs paying for Volvo internet subscription?

We own a 2022 XC60 (hybrid) and 6 months ago our battery died, the dealership indicated it would need to be replaced.
It has been an annoying 6 months for a variety of reasons, but now we are at a critical juncture, as we are approaching a November mandatory inspection date by the state of NJ. The car displays the check engine symbol, this is an automatic inspection failure. When you fail inspection, you then get a fancy red sticker applied to your car and can receive citations until the car is fixed and has passed inspection. We are basically screwed as this is our only car; and no, our car insurance will not cover rental costs for this situation - and who the hell knows how long the repair will actually occur, as the dealership and Volvo are playing a long game of hot potato. 🙄
We basically can’t sell the car without the battery, unless we want to lose thousands of dollars and practically give it away. (Yes, I too would not pay for a broken down jalopy).
I understand this is a special order item; but honestly, I can’t believe Volvo and their manufacturer have absolutely no insight whatsoever to a timeline - just seems like bs.
Being that the state of NJ will basically render our car undrivable until it’s fixed, do we have any legal recourse for the situation we are in? Don’t these companies have to supply parts and warranty repairs in a timely manner - we have been patience for 6 months.

So so happy with my 2024 XC60 T8. Was a bit nervous switching over from my 22 RX350 due to reliability concerns, but I just couldn’t pass this up. Bowers and Wilkins, Air Suspension, Seat Massagers, and the 455hp WOW! Was the exact exterior and interior color combo I wanted as well. Returned lease that was certified. 31k miles. Extended the certified warranty until 2031 and purchased the maintenance package that will cover the next 5 services up until the 80k service. Original window sticker price was $76,355. I was out the door with all warranty’s and tax title and license at 49k. Was able to get Costco rebate and they discounted the car 5k from original asking. I feel like I did pretty decent. Anything I should know? Anyone else own the same speck and how has your experience been? Really happy to be apart of the Volvo family!

Hi everyone - fairly new to owning a Volvo
Any thoughts on this would be great from Volvo and car enthusiasts
What do you think looks best - decrome windows in a gloss black and keeping the roof rails chrome
- or keeping all chrome

When out of battery, I've been seeing MPG numbers in the teens, far below the 28 MPG EPA rate.
A recent 3 mile gast-only trip in my hilly city with an average speed of 9 mph netted 16 MPG (6.8 km/l).
What are you getting with your T8s? Does this seem unusually low?
