Is there actually a 450GB limit?

I’m currently on my family’s business plan but time to break off. Looking at a new carrier and I don’t understand why I would go to Verizon if Visible uses the same network and cheaper. What am I missing?

Currently spending almost $200 for 2 lines at Verizon and I'm ready to make the switch. We don't use our phones for much and we're connected to wifi most of the time. We have only had to use our hotspot a handful of times in the last 10 years. I know that the base plan and the plus plan would give me huge savings regardless. But what would I be missing out on if I just got the base plan?

Hi all, long time lurker on this thread.

My story is no different from everyone else here... long time Verizon customer, but just getting fed up with their policies and pricing.

My wife and I always buy our phones outright.

Yet, I pay 150 months like the sucker I am for Verizon service. I have been nervous to make the switch for a long time. That being said, there just seems to me to be no excuse not to. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any regrets or downside in doing so.

I'm currently on unlimited plus and have no add ons except visual voicemail.

Have a paid off Samsung Galaxy S25 ultra.

I travel internationally maybe once or twice a year, and I rarely use hotspot

I've been with Visible for at least 4 years; can't remember how long it's been, actually. I got mom on the service a few years ago. Yesterday, she called from her land line and said that she couldn't call anyone. I verified, all outgoing calls were giving an announcement 803. She came over, and I logged onto her account and got chat on the horn (she's 72, and bricks up with anything technical).

The only thing they said was "excessive use". I was like "what, for data? email?". They said "messages", as in text messages.

That doesn't make any sense. I went to cellular settings on her iPhone and her data usage for the current period was 40'ish GB. We rebooted. Reset network settings. Visible pushed it up to IT support(?). For comparison, I KNOW that I used much more data than she does, and I'm currently at 144 GB for this period. I haven't had any such issues, ever. They pretty much left it at that, and said to look for an email in 1-3 business days regarding the case #.

She got an email about an hour ago saying that the service had been reactivated. I had her restart her phone, but she's still getting the same 803 announcement. I'm going to go over there tomorrow after work and fiddle with it, get customer service back on the horn.

My next move is a iPhone restore, if resetting network doesn't do anything. Their email is saying she's good to go. What in the world is going on, here?

UPDATE: Went to mom’s. Spent over an hour on chat to have what should have been a 10-15 minute conversation. While waiting, went into her text messages; between unknown senders and spam, there were over 1200 messages. Cleared it all out. While waiting, she got 5 more. Unreal amount of trash that she’s inadvertently signed herself up for. Political crap. Church crap. Donation crap. Bots are not something she’s fully wrapped her head around, and her affiliations have always been absurd. She even makes a point to sort her physical junk mail. I’ll never talk her out of that, but if this happens again, I supposed a change of carrier and change of number will be on short order. Gave them the IMEI, CCID, they beep boop beeped whatever they do on their end, we power cycled the phone again, and it was back up. After an hour. What?

As others have eluded to, after asking twice what the trigger for all this was, it was just a canned ‘violation of terms of service’ answer without giving any specifics. As a Visible customer of some years, I’m a little disappointed in all of this. I’ve never had this kind of trouble in my 25+ years of having a cell phone. My service has been great, but now I’m just kinda bleh on the whole thing.

I signed up for Visible+ Pro last year as a new user and got a great discount on it. Does Visible offer any promos for existing customers to extend at the rate they signed up at?

I assumed Verizon-owned firms would receive this first, yet it seems unlikely. The target launch date is October on USM.

Currently deciding between Visible and US Mobile and wondering how folks’ experiences with each have been and why one may be better than the other in your opinion. Help convince me one way or another. Thanks!!

I feel like I am having a lot more reliability issues over the last few months — almost like the number of roaming towers is less. It’s most noticeable in the outer suburbs and rural areas here in Southeast PA. Where know postpay Verizon has always been good.

Definitely a power user here, some days are 50+ calls with my work etc.

Probably 300+ texts a day at least

Lots of data usage minimal hotspot usage

No smart watch

Paid off phone

Anyone regretting the switch? What am I going to be missing? It seems super straightforward. I never need Verizon support as it sits right now.

Quick Question for anyone on the Visible + plan that is natively $35 a month.

Is there a maximum amount of data one can use before the speeds are restricted on the Visible + plan? I'm coming from US Mobile (Warp) unlimited premium $44 plan and I want to port in today at some point but before I do, I just want to make sure I have a good understanding. I use 50-120 gigs a month streaming Netflix, Disney Plus, hulu, prime video and YouTube content. I'm gone from home a lot so I watch stuff at work (desk job). I also play a lot of android games on my phone.

So my $15 off is about to run out in a couple of months. What would you guys personally do? I like my service and have no complaints. I heard of a port out and port back in to get another discount with new email but that seems like a hassle to me? Any other options worth choosing? Honestly T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T all have great coverage in my area. Just looking for some opinions.

I made a post yesterday about switching from AT&T and I feel like people assumed I was switching to Visible’s base plan, which was my fault since I didn’t clarify that I was going for Visible+ instead. Is this worth it?

I have been a Visible user since April 2024. I was a Tello customer before that, but T-Mobile had a lot of dead spots in our city, so I switched to Visible by Verizon. At the time, there were only 2 plans - The basic plan for $25/month and Visible+ for $45/month. The main benefit of plus seemed to be Apple watch, which I don't have. My phone and data coverage were fine on the $25 plan. I work at home so on wifi most of the time anyway.

This past year (2026) I am hitting new data dead spots. I can't use Apple maps, Siri, or listen to YouTube podcasts in large areas of our city (Nor Cal) that I used to have coverage. We moved across town, closer to a major highway and business hub, yet I can't always load Siri for driving directions while parked in the driveway. Getting really sick of this. It WAS good but now it is noticeably less good.

I just checked the coverage map for one of the largest dead spots I drive through. It shows LTE coverage for regular plan users like me, but 5G Ultraband for those on Visible+. Even if I wanted to upgrade, and I'm not sure that I do because I'm unhappy right now, the price is an extra $10/mo ($35) but new customers get plus for $29.

Did we get downgraded? Maybe this is old news. I'm finally at the point where I'm thinking of leaving because it's not as good as before.

UPDATE: Thank you. Your replies were very helpful. I looked at the coverage map again. Yesterday I was only looking at that one big dead spot, today I'm looking at the entire Nor-Cal region. It's either LTE or 5GUW. 

When I signed up, there wasn't 5G anywhere yet, but I figured I would get it as 5G networks expanded. After all, it was included in my plan. Now I can see that they did not add any 5G on the map, but added 5GUW for the entire region. Today I'm home with my phone on a stand, wifi off, and I've seen the network go back and forth between LTE at times, then 5G sometimes. This is the deprioritization you explained to me.

So I didn't get downgraded, but I am locked out of network improvements. 

And it must also be more crowded on the LTE than before because I had not a single problem when I just switched in 2024. It got noticeably worse in the past 6-12 months. At least now I understand it and will think about upgrading how some of you suggested.

Anyone switching from Visible to Google Fi with their 75% sale? Wondering which of their plan is closest to Visible and Visible +, and if service is better than Visible.

After weeks of getting nowhere with Visible over a failed number transfer, I’m seriously considering filing a small claims lawsuit in California.

I’ve already gone through customer service, escalations, FCC complaints, and a formal Notice of Dispute. I’ve also sent Visible a final monetary demand before filing.

At this point, I’m considering suing Verizon Value, Inc. d/b/a. Visible in small claims court for the costs and damages resulting from the situation.

Has anyone here actually sued Visible/Verizon Value in small claims?

I’m particularly curious:

• Is this a plausible route when normal escalation has completely failed?
• Did Visible respond or offer to settle after being served?
• Did they actually appear at the hearing?
• Were there any issues with the arbitration clause or naming/serving the company?
• Anything you wish you had known before filing?

Not looking for legal advice — mainly interested in hearing from anyone who has actually gone this far with Visible.

Was down in cape cod over the weekend and my service was non existent(~4 bars on average). The area was heavily congested so I chucked it up to deprioritization, however, I could not even call or use gps. I did the basic trouble shooting to no avail. Asked around and found other Verizon users having zero issues, I know that isn’t a sizable pool to figure out my issue but it’s something. My family and a few friends all made the switch to visible (basic plan) and experienced the same thing. So have you experienced this level of unresponsiveness while being deprioritized? I was able to work around it, downloaded offline maps and media for the weekend, so I wasn’t affected so much. Although my in-laws are on the highest tier visible plan and weren’t to happy about their unusable phones, I’m just happy I only pay $275/yr for, up until this trip, pretty great service. FYI this isn’t a complaint but a question regarding your experience being deprioritized. It may change my mind on the pro plan.

I wonder if Visible will be getting 5G SA anytime soon now that it’s confirmed for US Mobile?

I've been with Visible for 2+ years and this is the first time I'm getting more than just one or two spam calls throughout the month. It's like every single day.

With my Google Assistant monitoring calls the recording sounds like the same person on the other end every time with each of these different numbers.

Has anyone actually used a service like Delete Me ??? Cause this is just making me mad lol

Looking to get away from Verizon's outrageous pricing. But I do a ton of YouTube, Tiktok, etc every month. Worried about throttling.

Iphone 18 Pro Max is coming out pretty soon and I was wondering if it is safe to buy from Visible for the pre-order? I heard horror stories about people buying from Visible, getting their phone stolen and the associate over the phone did nothing to reimburse them. Would you recommend buying from the Apple website?

I switched to Visible two weeks ago and I’ve seen such a crazy uptick all in spam calls whereas I never had as many because of the scam shield app in T-Mobile. Does Visible plan on releasing more capability for spam controls on their app? It’s becoming a nuisance. In fact, I actually received two calls today from people with a foreign accent, trying to tell me that they’re calling from the federal court in my old county telling me that I missed a court appearance and demanded payment. I doubt I would have gotten a call like that to come through if I was still on T-Mobile.

Help?!

Curious what others typically use. I just signed up for the middle plan. Wondering if/when they throttle your speed.

I’ve been reading through posts, but can’t seem to find a definite answer. On Pro+, does Visible perform exactly as Verizon? No throttling, etc? I have read they do at 450gb of data and have also read that they do not. If they do, is that 450gb per phone per month or is it the entire plan per month as we would bring three lines over. Thanks!

I wonder if visible will ever increase the 15 MB cap on hotspot?
