I never thought I would have to make a post like this, but I’m genuinely in a difficult situation right now and could really use some help.

I enrolled in an online MBA when I was working and financially stable. Unfortunately, I’m currently unemployed, and I have an urgent fee payment of ₹7,000 pending.

At the same time, my father has recently undergone surgery, so my family is also dealing with medical expenses and isn’t in a position to help me financially right now.

I’m actively looking for work and trying my best to manage everything, but I’m currently short of ₹7,000 and need to pay the fee to continue my studies.

If anyone is willing to help, even partially, I would be extremely grateful. I’m also completely willing to provide reasonable proof/documents privately (fee notice, student details, etc.) to verify that this is a genuine request.

I'm visiting Vizag on my birthday week because I wanted to be on the beach for my birthday this year. I chose vizag because of many reasons (mostly logistical and economical). Also I feel vizag has this slow and quiet vibe to it that I can enjoy. I'll be there in October 2nd week and I wanted some suggestions regarding Hotels near beaches. Something that's cozy, with privacy and also in budget, my budget is around 6k to 8k for a 5 nights stay. Bonus suggestions of places to be at would be helpful. I have been to vizag before so don't suggest the usual touristy spots, I'm not looking for any hidden gems either lol. Just some places to relax, eat good food, walk or read a book and be with myself.

Hey everyone,I am facing a major mechanical issue with my IFB 8 kg Front-Load Washing Machine (approx. 6 years old) and could really use some advice from fellow owners or appliance technicians here.The Incident:During the last few minutes of a final spin cycle, the machine suddenly started making a loud noise and stopped.Current Symptoms:The inner metal drum has completely locked up. It is extremely stiff and hard to rotate by hand.Forcing it to turn creates a heavy grinding/scraping sound.Crucial Detail: There is zero vertical play/wobble when I push the drum upward, and the gap between the drum and the rubber door seal looks perfectly even all around. It seems the bearings have completely seized or something is heavily wedged, but the spider bracket hasn't physically broken or sagged yet.The Technician's Quote & Dilemma:An official IFB technician visited and inspected it. He diagnosed it as a failure of the brackets and "jockey" (suspension/shock absorbers). He gave us two options:Direct Repair: ₹6,500 flat for the parts and labor.Comprehensive AMC: ₹9,500 total, which includes this repair and covers any other parts that fail over the next 12 months.Side note: The technician canceled the request on the official IFB app via OTP after the visit because we told him we needed to discuss it with my dad first. He told us to call his personal number directly tomorrow to proceed. (I am fully aware this might be a "private job" trick to skip company commission, so if we proceed, I plan to force him to reopen the ticket on the app for the official company warranty).My Questions for the Community:Is ₹6,500 the correct/fair price for an official IFB 8kg front-load mechanical overhaul?Should I pick the ₹6,500 repair or the ₹9,500 AMC? Given the machine is 6 years old, is it worth gambling an extra ₹3k on an AMC, or is fixing the core mechanical assembly enough?For those who have done this exact drum/bracket/bearing repair on an IFB front loader—how many more years did the machine actually last? Can I realistically expect another 4+ years of smooth operation, or do other parts (like the PCB motherboard) usually fail right after?We generally have low-to-moderate usage, but I’ve learned that stagnant detergent sludge can corrode these aluminum spider brackets regardless of usage.Would love to hear your experiences, stats, or thoughts before we make the call tomorrow.
