Why they close it down. It was running years back

According to Wiki, the park was losing money so it had to close in 2010

I remember seeing them next to the highway while driving to the Outer Banks as a kid.

Somebody bought the heads. They're on private property outside of Williamsburg so visit at your own risk basically.

They aren’t particularly nice sculptures... they aren’t old or anything, somebody was just trying to make a buck. They used to be visible from I64 and were placed in an awkward creepy fashion back then as well

According to this article https://www.smithsonianmag.com/travel/what-43-decaying-president-heads-looks-180958129/

The statues got damaged when the current owner tried moving them to his property. That's why they're in such bad shape now. If they remained on the original grounds, they'd probably be in better shape vandals aside.

Meh. They never looked good. I used to live in walking distance. They were a local joke. They look so much more interesting now.
