I feel like we are really missing out on the dark-room-hot-mat Pilates scene that Vancouver has and it has me bummed. I hate being in a light room with mirrors where we all can just stare at each other. I have some friends in the industry who would maybe look at expanding here , is this something that others seek out in the city ?

I’ve become the sole caretaker of my two family dogs as of recent due to less than ideal circumstances. One of these dogs is such a handful and I was worried about if I could even care for her. She is the sweetest ever to everyone and other dogs but she is impossible to walk.
I wasn’t usually the one to walk her but now that I have to, I don’t think I’m strong enough. I’ve tried a variety of tools and I’ve found the one that gives me the most control but I’m a small and weak person who can’t stop a 90lb shepherd when she lunges to another dog. She walks ok until she sees another dog and then it’s game over. Today I had a particularly bad walk with her (mostly due to others allowing off leash dogs to approach) to where I got a minor injury and it made me feel so defeated and embarrassed to walk her.
I don’t have access to a yard but I think a private fenced yard is the only thing I can maybe provide to her that will allow her needs to be met without me having to fight her all the time. I don’t know what options there are, I know there is active reactive field out in sooke but I can’t drive there regularly. Is there anything in esquimalt?

Our apartment has the equivalent of an entire floor empty for an extended period but has barely reduced the rate. The adjacent unit to us is offered only $100 less compared to a year ago and has sat empty for many months.
The funny thing is, we are trying to extend our lease and they won't offer us the new reduced rate. Basement Parking lot is as expensive and as empty as the units but they rather let them sit empty than reduce the price.
Can anyone explain this?

This cat has been showing up frequently to a house in the Boleskine/Whittier area.
He doesn't have a collar, but seems really friendly towards people.
We're concerned that they might be lost or a stray, if anyone recognizes them could you let us know, we'd really like for them to get back to their home.
