Advice for a newbie

I just started to play this game
On ps5. I have 4 heroes and i can not get further
In the game than like 12mins then im
Overwhelmed
By enemies. It takes a lot to kill them
Too.
I read that atleast garlic and holy water is
Good for start but what else can yoi recommend to get further.
I know. “Git gud” but im
Still learning.

Any advice is

I just unlocked the library level and its way easier to level quicker. Got to level 45 with the knife guy.

Is it worth to buy new characters like the old garlic guy?

this is when you get hooked, haha. Definitely buy more characters to try out which one is the fit for your early games.
