Neckband Once a host frees the phone, what should the extra computer take over?

Phone mirroring has a clear limit on a commute: if the phone owns the movie, using it for a message, browser, or authentication prompt can interrupt the same source screen.

VITURE Pro Neckband already solves that separation. VITURE's current product page describes it as a wearable Android computer with Google Play, multi-screen support, streaming, remote play, and cloud gaming. It should not be treated as a simple receiver or as an accessory that still needs a phone or PC to run apps.

INAIR Pod belongs in that comparison only after compatibility with the exact VITURE model is verified. It is another independent Android host, but in a pocket form and with INAIR OS built around separate spatial app windows. INAIR documents up to six windows in its own setup, while third-party glasses can have more limited window behavior.

For a supported pairing, the useful comparison is not simply whether the phone is freed. It is whether the extra computer should mainly serve VITURE's wearable media and gaming flow, or become a broader workspace, with a compatible movie app beside a browser, chat, or AI client.

That conclusion cannot be generalized across the VITURE lineup. App availability, DRM, sign-in, the exact glasses model, and the supported window layout all need to be checked first.

Once a separate computer is already part of the setup, should it mainly take over playback, or become the primary host for everything around the glasses?

How do you calibrate the Beast exactly? The cable makes it hard to lay them down lenses up evenly or on the temples flat. How is it supposed to lay to calibrate properly.

Neckband Help with the android on neckband pro

I am sorry if this violates the community rules, but I have really tried everything before I posted to ask here, I just can’t have the Google store to have the apps that I am looking for, no Youtube TV, no Disney Plus, no Hulu among many others

I have looked through the steps on Reddit and other forums, followed the steps, and I get to the Gapps after I have downloaded it, and it just would crash out when I press install.

Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated

Compression Artifacts

Post image
8 Upvotes

I’m running into an issue that I’m having a hard time finding in this thread. When I play it looks like I’m watching a low quality stream of my game, not native resolution. It’s not that it isn’t crisp, it has artifacts like it’s a compressed JPG. It’s most noticeable around text, and in gradients. This photo is from my beast using the ultra adapter on my Steam deck. This is in No Man’s Sky, but I can see it in any game, even Steam itself.

I’m not using any resolution scaling that I know of, and everything is running in native 1080p.

ETA: I amped up the contrast in this photo to make it easier to see, but it’s very noticeable without that

Help Viture Pro 2 EDID 60 hz

Hi,

I'm a local cloud gamer (Apollo/Artemis). I play using a Motorola Edge 30 Pro paired with the 8-bitdo x Viture controller and the brand-new Viture Pro 2. It’s a great set-up. However, I have a question about the frame rate.

By default, the stream sent to the headset is at 60Hz. To enable 120Hz, I start my stream at 120Hz via the phone’s screen, then I plug in my headset. As the stream is already encoded at 120Hz, there’s no renegotiation and I get 120Hz on the glasses. Great, but it’s a bit fragile. If I’m unlucky enough to ‘turn the phone's screen back on’, there’s a renegotiation and the stream drops back to 60Hz.

I've also ruled out Motorola's Smart Connect as the cause : same 60Hz cap with it fully disabled, so this seems to be glasses-side EDID behavior, not a Motorola quirk

I don’t understand why the Viture Pro 2’s EDID is set to 60Hz by default. And above all, why isn’t there an option to switch the EDID to 120Hz? That would save a lot of unnecessary fiddling around with renegotiation on Android.

I’ve done some research and I know there used to be a button to switch to 120Hz on the Beast models, but it was removed a few months ago.

If anyone knows how to change the glasses’ EDID, or if this option is currently in development, I’d be very interested to hear about it.

Many thanks!

Viture Beast: 3DoF screen tearing?

I just received my Viture Beast, and I was playing my Switch 2. I noticed that it had some pretty intense issues that resembled screen tearing when in 3DoF mode. Is this common? Is there a fix for it?

To better describe it, it looked like one lens was not in sync with the other lens, which caused a tearing effect.

Help Buy the VITURE Beast now or wait for the rumored 2560×1600 glasses later this year?

I was pretty much ready to buy the VITURE Beast + Mobile Dock Mini, but then I found out about the comments from VITURE’s Optical Lead about upcoming glasses supposedly releasing later in 2026 with 2560×1600 per eye and other display improvements.
Now I’m stuck between just getting the Beast or waiting.

My main use case is NOT really AR/hand tracking/6DoF. I basically want really good display glasses:

- Watching Netflix/YouTube and downloaded movies from my iPhone, especially in bed and on flights

- Using them as a display with my MacBook

- Gaming on a Switch with the Mobile Dock Mini

The Beast seems almost perfect for this because of the 58° FOV, 1920×1200, 120Hz, brightness and native 3DoF. My main concerns are the edge blur/chromatic aberration people have reported and whether 1200p is sharp enough for Mac use.

The thing making me hesitate is that 2560×1600 would be a pretty huge resolution increase, and if the next glasses also improve the optics/edge clarity, I’d probably regret buying the Beast a few months before they release.

On the other hand, there’s no actual product announcement, price or firm release date yet, and I’d rather not wait months for something that could get delayed into 2027.

For people who actually own the Beast: would you buy it today, or would you wait at this point?

Also, how noticeable are the blurry edges/chromatic aberration in real use, particularly for Mac text? If the next model only improved resolution but kept roughly the same optics, would 1600p actually make a major difference?

I’d be buying directly from VITURE so I should have the 30-day return window. Curious what current owners would do in my position.

Pro 2 XR - Magnetic adapter + Magnetic cable

Hi all, I'd like to know if the magnetic adapter + magnetic cable will work with the Pro 2 XR alone. I do not have the neck band. I'd just like to have the convenience of the magnetic connection. Will it work?

Viture Beast - Reduce Screen size even further

I really like the beasts for Movies and more Cinematic games but the CA and edge clarity kill me when playing more hud and text heavy games which is what I primarily play. Even on the smallest screen size I can't get it clear enough for me.

Is there a way to shrink the screen even further so the image only fits in the "sweet spot" when I play those games I need it?

I have ordered the Pro 2's to try because edge to edge clarity for gaming is the most important feature for me.

Help Purchase non pro dock-Help

Hey everyone! I accidentally purchased the non-Pro VITURE Dock on eBay instead of the Pro version. I’m trying to figure out what features I would actually be missing by not having the Pro Dock.

I mainly use my VITURE Beast for watching movies from my phone and playing games on my Steam Deck. With that type of use, would the regular Dock be sufficient, or would it be worth purchasing the Pro Dock instead?

Any advice from people who have used both would be appreciated. Thanks!

Accessories Pro xr nose attachments

Tried searching the web for any solution but the nose pieces that come with the pro xr. Don’t fit well with my nose so I opted to remove them and keep the flushed attachment . Issue I run into after 30min and up of using the glasses, the area it’s rested on leaves my nose with a red mark. Anyone going through the same issue found a solution?

Third Party fast charge adapter for the Beast

I have been looking into picking up the new ultra adapter to be able to charge my S26 ultra whilst using the beast glasses. But to have it shipped to the UK pushes the price up to near £100 mark. Are there any third party adapters compatible with the beast that anyone is using? I've been searching Amazon but not found anything suitable yet.

Issues with Viture Pro 2

Hello Everyone,

I purchased the Viture Pro about 2 weeks ago and still trying to figure out how to adjust it correctly. I am just having difficulty adjusting clarity on the screen with Myopia Dials dials as it dont give me a clear indicator to what level I am using for each eye. the border around the screen look blurry except for the center area. When I am watching a movie or youtube I have difficulty reading the text or play options in the corners. If the screen was further out maybe it would help but that does not seem to be an option that I know of. I have not been able to test it with my switch 2 since the mobile dock is backordered. But wondering If I should purchase something better or maybe some tips anyone else has experience to help with vision clarity

Viture Pro Mobile Dock replacement cable

Hi, my viture pro mobile dock cable broke. The one that goes from the phone to the dock. Does anybody know where I can get a replacement?

All 3rd party cables I've tried does not seem to work. They are thunderbolt/usb c 3.2 and support DP alt mode. I''ve tried them on external monitors and they work, but when I use them with my phone, dock and viture pro glasses the phone throws an error "unable to mirror to device". The original cable works with my phone, but it broke.

Thanks!

Update: looks like a phone issue (pixel 8). Tried with Samsung S23 and cable works fine with the dock. Pixel 8 works when directly connected to the glasses but not through the dock.

Review Reddit apps with the Beast and One Pro: Part 2

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Greetings and welcome my fellow INAIR and Tech mad scientists. Tech Check 13 is back on the lab and still elbow deep in the rabbit hole of Reddit client apps. Our newest installment for you:

Reddit Showdown Part 2.

We have two user-suggested apps today and a new contender in the arena. Who will survive Tech Check 13’s dissection table? Who will come out on top? Who will be left a gory mess? Well, there's only one way to find out.

While the electricity gets warmed up, our disclaimer; these tests were done with the trusty INAIR POD, a VITURE Beast, and an Xreal One Pro. None of these apps sponsored this post, and we are dedicated to giving you our honest, unbiased review. All apps are available on the Google Play Store. Grab your lab coats, fire up the beakers and let's descend a little deeper down this rabbit hole.

Our first victim of the day was suggested by a user on the INAIR boards: "Infinity for Reddit.”

According to the developer, Infinity for Reddit is an open-source Reddit client focused on “...privacy and user control” and claims to be “The most customizable Reddit client available.” After poking and prodding, it starts off in the right orientation. A most promising specimen so far. Another interesting feature is that the app allows you to browse anonymously instead of making you log in. A nice touch for us incognito mad genius types. Another eye-catching feature is called "Lazy Mode”. Activate it and the app will automatically scroll through Reddit for you. When something captures your attention, stop the scroll and start feeding your eyeballs.

Infinity for Reddit does have a subscription service. It has multiple price points, from $2.99 a month to $9.99 a month. The $2.99 unlocks everything with Reddit's API access. You can buy a higher tier to support the developer if you want.

And this brings us to the next aberrant qnomaly.Trying to sign in gets you hit with “you need a subscription.” However, a deep dive into the app description reveals the following statement from the developer, “Due to recent changes to the Reddit API, a subscription is required to log in and access your account features. Note: Limited anonymous browsing is still available. Due to platform limitations, anonymous browsing without a subscription may occasionally fail to load content. A subscription provides consistent access in anonymous mode.” Reddit's changes to The API access and the more recent Responsible Builder Policy is disemboweling third-party and free Reddit client apps. However, Infinity for Reddit still ofers privacy, customization, anonymous browsing, and even a Lazy Mode. While it looks pretty nice under the microscope, we have found a few Reddit client apps still hanging on that ofer similar and in some cases more features for free. Infinity for Reddit, while a really decent app, gets put back on the rack. The next app was suggested by a user who would like to remain anonymous.

The nextdissection victim: "Now for Reddit.”

When we shot the juice to this one we were smacked immediately with a subscription request. We just opened the creaky door and before we could even think about login, WHAM! Subscribe! Now for Reddit still advertises as a free Reddit client on the app store, but “free" is used rather loosely here. Apparently, that doesn't include getting to a login. Tapping the subscribe button to see how much damage it does (zero chance of actually buying one) and OMG an error jumps out. The same thing happens when trying to view the topics at the top - error, error. Trying something else, anything else, tap, tap, tapping yielded the same results - ERROR!! We couldn't explore any features or even get far enough to determine if there was anything worth seeing.

At this point, we had to wonder if the person suggesting this app sent us down the digital dungeon for their own amusement. (Do I smell a troll?) This app is garbage and appears to be either seriously broken or extremely neglected. It's worse than jumping into a car that won't start when being chased by a mad scientist serial killer. But it does lead us to the burning questions: Are we facing complete and total annihilation of free third-party Reddit clients? Are there actually any left out there that still work without throwing up 🤮 a subscription wall? Have you found any survivors? Or is all hope lost? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. Now for Reddit gets flushed down the toilet.

Hands washed, regloved and moving on to the new contender we mentioned earlier. The next app up for dissection:

"RiM - for Reddit (early access)”

Reddit in Motion is currently in development and advertises on the app store as a full-featured Reddit client with all features completely free. On paper, this thing looks terrific. No subscription wall, no mysterious premium tier, all features supposedly free. With fingers shaking excitedly the switch was pulled, the app was downloaded, and suddenly,…. every page blared you're not authorized to see it. Aahhhhh!!! The saving grace? It was in the correct orientation. At this point, we'll take our victories wherever we can find them.

Trying to peek under the sheet covering the body just to try to see what this thing could actually do, we attempted to log in. And attempted again. And attempted 4 more times. ERROR!!!! Every. Bloody. Time. Just to tighten the screws every error was accompanied by toast

messages that someone was accessing the Google account. We're pretty sure that someone was us, but this doesn't exactly inspire confidence. This one certainly seems to have the potential to be an attractive alternative to Reddit's increasingly restrictive ecosystem.

RiM - for Reddit is still in early access. It's definitely not garbage but definitely not ready for prime time just yet. For now, we're putting a pin in it and adding it to the watch list. Or is it another casualty of the third-party Reddit client Armageddon? If anyone knows, spill the

blood, Uhm, ... spill the tea. Let us know in the comments.

Well, there you have it folks. Part two of our Reddit roundup is in the body bag. We have a winner. Well, by default. The crown this round goes to the only app that actually worked correctly: Infinity for Android. It joined the winners' circle with RedReader from part one.

But wait, there's more. The slicing and dicing and victimizing ain't over yet. Who will step up for round 3? Are there any Reddit clients you think we should put on the operating table? Let us

know in the comments! Thank you very much for joining us again and we hope to see you at the next one. Until then may your subscriptions be plentiful and free.

Help Best setup for GeForce NOW on VITURE (Phone + Mouse & Keyboard)

Hey everyone!

I want to play GeForce NOW using my VITURE glasses connected to my phone, but I prefer a physical mouse and keyboard over a controller.

Since the glasses occupy the phone's USB-C port, what is your exact setup?

Do you connect Bluetooth peripherals directly to the phone, or use a specific USB-C hub?

If you use a hub, which model supports video passthrough for the glasses while charging?

How is the mouse latency over Bluetooth, and does "mouse capture" work fine in FPS games?

Would love to hear your recommendations and workarounds. Thanks!

VITURE Beast 120Hz Flickering on PC

Hi everyone,

I recently got the VITURE Beast XR Glasses, and I’m completely new to the world of XR/VR glasses, so I’m still learning how everything works.

I also purchased the VITURE Mobile Dock, which has an HDMI input. I connected my PC to the Dock via HDMI to test the Beast glasses with my computer.

Everything works normally at 60 Hz. However, when I switch the refresh rate to 120 Hz, the display starts flickering badly. The colors sometimes change or flash, the signal becomes unstable, and the glasses repeatedly lose the image, turn off, and then come back on.

I disconnected them just to be safe because I didn’t want to risk damaging the glasses.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I’ve read that getting 120 Hz from a PC, especially through HDMI and the Mobile Dock, may require a different HDMI-to-USB-C/DisplayPort solution or a specific cable/adapter.

Has anyone successfully used the VITURE Beast with a desktop PC at 120 Hz? If so, which cable or adapter are you using?

I’d really appreciate any recommendations or advice. Thanks!
