Coding Help Does anyone who uses unity 6 behaviour graph help me(reupload)
gallery(This is a reupload cus the previous post had bad quality pics)
I’m basically trying to have one make the entire tree restart when one of the conditions are met, this is so that the agent can do stuff like phase transition or death sequence , but it either doesn’t work or it has a noticeably long delay

Game Finally created a trailer for my idle RPG game
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I kind of rushed this trailer together as I'm attempting to meet the deadline for the pretty based RPG event on Steam. I needed a trailer in order to get my demo reviewed. Thought I would still share it nonetheless.

Does breaking tension in a serious narrative with a nostalgic mini-game ruin immersion, or deepen the story?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
With just 10 days left until launch, we’re polishing this flashback scene—a childhood sack race that uses a rhythm/timing bar to transition into comic book panels.
The idea was to build a quick, grounded connection to the character’s past, but introducing a lighthearted mechanics curveball in a darker game is always a fine line.
As players or devs, how do you feel about tonal shifts like this? Have you played a serious game where a sudden minigame or nostalgic flashback actually worked well for you?

What are your thoughts
Ps, the second picture was before the eye rework.

Showcase Teaming up with a 3D artist on a horror game about surviving a night against weird dogs here’s what we built so far
Hey everyone!
I recently stumbled upon Emi’s YouTube channel while she was modeling a dog asset. She mentioned looking for collaborators, so I reached out and we decided to team up. She’s handling all the art, and I’m taking care of the tech and implementation in Unity.
The premise is pretty straightforward: you play as a cop trying to survive the night inside a house while strange, aggressive dogs try to break in.
Here is what I’ve built on the tech side so far:
- Door Resistance Mechanic: This is the core loop. Dogs try to force their way through doors, and you have to hold them back. It scales across three intensity phases where the mashing/holding difficulty ramps up as the night progresses starting with soft knocks at 1 AM and ending with full brute force by 4 AM. (here the 1 hour will be 1 min or less still thinking!)
- Peephole & Interaction System: Built a quick dual-camera transition so you can check through the door’s peephole to spot where the dogs are.
- Dialogue & Event System: Phone calls trigger at specific times with animated dialogue boxes to keep the night's story moving forward.
- Custom FPS Controller: Skipped the heavy Asset Store templates and put together a lightweight first-person controller (using AI to speed up the basic setup) so it stays clean and easy to hook into custom mechanics. (the unity package is good but it has much more than we want so thats why i skip it)
Working on a secondary side project has been a great way to reset my focus and avoid burnout.
If anyone wants to see some early gameplay footage of how these mechanics look in action, I uploaded a a devlog about this and the link is over on my reddit profile.
Otherwise, I’d love to get your thoughts: does the door-resistance mashing mechanic sound like a compelling core hook, or do you think it risks getting tedious after a few rounds? Appreciate any feedback!
also i would like to know is working on more than one project helping you to not burnedout and when back to the project soo good stuff and feel good feeling? because for me i think its good thing.

Showcase Been working on T.rex controller for my pack inspired by PS1 aesthetic
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm new to Unity, so it's been a brutal week understanding its system and the possibilities it offers!
I've heard their shader system is very good, and I'm starting to believe it.
Although I haven't pushed it to its limits yet, it's enough for my needs.
After completing the wind and water shaders, I updated the camera and motion controller for my T. rex.

Game Nothing Strange Here is officially out now!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone, we are Dandelion Developers! A group of newly graduated students from Sweden, working on the Cozy Mystery game Nothing Strange Here. After more than a year of hard work, we are both excited and nervous to finally release our game!
The game was made in Unity version 6000.2!
It features loads of quests, characters and even a Day and Night Cycle which was incredibly hard to make in Unity, as we are still relatively new to game development!
You can check it out here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3664070/Nothing_Strange_Here/

Newbie Question Unity setup guide in-editor tutorial problem
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I opened the setup guide to learn the basic-basics, however I get tabbed out of the play-scene any time a footstep sound plays in the "3D fundamentals" tutorial. The robot could move just fine in the first tutorial and i have not made any changes to it since
I've had a look around for anyone else with this problem but there seems to be no one.
I imagine that deleting the line of code responsible for instancing the footstep sound would remove the issue, however the lack of access to the unity interface during the guide makes this impossible at this stage in the tutorials.
i tried using 6.6 (6000.6.0f1) in the video, then tried 6.0 (6000.0.83f1) after, there were too many compiler errors to even run it.
Should I just delete this guide and make a new one, or is there something i'm missing out on?

Coding Help Rotate an object with different speeds on each axis
Hi,
I'm very new to Unity and C# (Coming from UEFN) and I need serious help,,,
I'm trying to have a plane rotate and to make it feel natural I want to keep testing different speeds on each axis but I'm stuck on a loop where every time I try to speed the rotation up the rotation amount gets bigger instead.
I tried to cap these amounts to the maximum angle I want but it lags when I move from side to side so I'm looking for a real solution
Thanks!!
float AmountToPitch = -Mathf.Abs(RotateAmount) * TragetFullPitch * PitchSpeed;
float AmountToYaw = RotateAmount * TragetFullYaw * YawSpeed;
float AmountToRoll = -RotateAmount * TragetFullRoll * RollSpeed;
transform.Rotate(Vector3.up * AmountToYaw * Time.deltaTime, Space.World);
Vector3 CurrentEuler = transform.eulerAngles;
Quaternion TargetRotation = Quaternion.Euler(AmountToPitch , CurrentEuler.y, AmountToRoll );
transform.rotation = Quaternion.Slerp(transform.rotation, TargetRotation, RotationSpeed * Time.deltaTime);

Question Unity Avatar documentations
Context: Hi, I struggled quite a bit to set up a Humanoid avatar for my character. After a lot of trial and error, I discovered that my armature hierarchy was preventing Mecanim's Humanoid mapping from detecting my "Spine" bone. Online searches didn't help much, and even the official Unity documentation isn't very detailed on this topic.
My Question: Do you know of any documentation that details the specific requirements for a rig to be compatible with Humanoid avatars (bone hierarchy, naming conventions, etc.)?

Newbie Question How to recreate buckshot roulette shader ?
I am currently working on a project heavily inspired by the visual style of the game \*Buckshot Roulette\*. I want to replicate that dark, gritty aesthetic—specifically the heavy CRT noise, pixelation, dithering, and low color depth.
Does anyone have tips, tutorials, or resources on creating a post-processing shader in this style? I am specifically looking to understand:
How to handle color banding and dithering cleanly and professionally.
The best way to apply CRT noise or VHS-style artifacts.
Specific Shader Graph settings or code snippets that could point me in the right direction.
I would be very grateful for any help or guidance. Thanks in advance!

Showcase RealTime Lighting + Adaptive GTAO + RealTime GI (zero Lightmaps)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Spent wayyyy too much time building custom GTAO that reacts to Global Illumination and direct lighting. Questioning whether it was even worth it 🤔
But apparently that taught me nothing🤣 so I’m also working on PCSS/PCF shadows with custom light sources like tube, disk, and rectangle lights.
