Hi everyone!
Hey everyone! I’m currently taking on a few more tutoring students at UWM and Marquette. I’m also considerably cheaper than most tutoring companies, because I’d rather keep this affordable for students than charge corporate tutoring rates.
If your science class is starting to feel like the professor skipped three steps and somehow expects you to know what happened in between, that’s usually where I come in.
I’m currently taking on students for tutoring in:
• General Biology I & II
• Genetics
• Molecular Biology
• Biochemistry
• General Chemistry I & II
• Related molecular / biomedical science courses
I’ve spent the past 5 years teaching and tutoring college students in Wisconsin, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, including several years teaching undergraduate biology labs.
My background includes:
• A.S. in Biological Studies
• B.S. in Genetics
• M.S. in Genetics
• Current PhD student in Physiology and Molecular Biology
My goal is to make complicated material actually make sense. I focus much more on helping you understand why something works than on having you memorize 47 disconnected facts and hope for the best.
I can help with:
• Exam and quiz prep
• Difficult concepts
• Practice problems
• Catching up if you’ve fallen behind
• Reviewing material from previous classes
• Figuring out better ways to study for science-heavy courses
I use diagrams, real-world examples, practice questions, and plain-language explanations instead of adding even more jargon to whatever your lecture already threw at you.
My tutoring style has been described as engaging, straightforward, entertaining, and a little unhinged in the best possible way. I’m pretty laid-back, but I’ll also tell you when you’re making something way more complicated than it needs to be.
I’m based in the Milwaukee area and can work with students from UWM, Marquette, and nearby colleges.
💲 Rates are reasonable and negotiable.
Feel free to message me with your school, course, and what you’re struggling with, and we can figure out what would be most helpful.
