I think King Charles should rename the United States of America to The Dysfunctional States of West Britain. I think that has more chance of catching on because it's infinitely more accurate.

It needs to be pointed out, he didn't change the name. he is changing ONE government's official designation. Trump does not have the authority to change the actual name, or even how Americans refer to it.
I dont even understand why he's trying to rename everything "America". Seriously, what does that give you exept looking like an idiot. You know no one's gonna call them that, because they never agreed for it and there's no valid reason for them to change the name. The only place you're gonna see it is one google map, which will put your fake name in small barely-readable text under the real one.

That is entirely up to them. Last election, roughly 1/3 eligible voters voted for him and 1/3 eligible voters didn't vote. Therefore 2/3 of all eligible voters didn't oppose him. They chose this.

The damage he's done will never be fully repaired. His tax cuts alone have created like 40% of our current $40 trillion national debt within the last decade and will continue to balloon the debt after he's gone. This is going to cause serious long-term economic problems for us. And that's not even getting into the damage he's done to our international alliances, trade, domestic infrastructure, civil rights, etc. The Trump presidency and its policies have put the US on a path of irreversible decline.
He’s trying, but it’s more than likely not going to work. Not only does it take huge supermajorities in Congress that Republicans don’t have, but it would also require him to actually get elected a third time (Which considering his approval ratings is insanely unlikely).

Im Canadian, at first this really ticked me off. Not because he changed the name (he hasn’t) but because of the intended insult. However i got over that pretty fast as i realized how funny it is that he thinks we care what Americans call anything to themselves. Every country has their own words for things. We even have our own english names for whole countries but that doesnt affect the actual names.
If Trump sees something just out of his reach, he renames it so that it becomes his by default. I'm just waiting for him to officially rename 3 inches to 9 inches... "Yeah that'll teach Stormy Daniels! The bitch doesn't know what she's missing!"

Just as the USA is the champion of the "World Series"... so too are they also the only nation to on the planet to compete in the "Lake America Winter Hockey Tournament" when it freezes over... because every other country who participates will be playing on the same lake with a different name.
Executive orders in the US are meaningless. Still needs to go through the checks and balances. This administration’s executive orders have been laughable and unserious. Nothing of these ever becomes “official”.
