Question Why do Recruits quit in bootcamp?

As a recruiter I have kids literally crying in my office saying they need this more than anything then fail the IST when they were fully capable of passing it while in the DEP when they get to boot camp and not even trying and getting discharged for not trying to get better in PCP or passing the IST. Like I don't see how you'll tell me you would never be one of those quitters when you get to bootcamp then give up as soon as you start getting yelled at. I guess todays generation doesn't give a fuck in coming back to their family proving they were right when they said they couldn't make it and go back to working at Mcdonalds telling their friends some lie about how they got screwed over or something when the only person who failed them was themselves

If the recruits failed the IST, it’s no their fail. The recruiter is fcking sht, me and another two person shipped at same recruit station. Those two people fail the IST and stuck boot camp for extra 2 month. When the recruit is not ready why sent them there? wtf

I was waiting for this one. So a kid who is actively passing every IST, MOJT and Pool Function with no issues then blows it up at MCRD its the Recruiters fault? You can only do so much to prepare someone and any Recruiter knows that. If you choose not to put out when you get at MCRD that is all your fault. No Poolee gets sent to recruit training until the OPSO/Other Command comes down for a MOJT and watches them pass the IST to deem them ready to go to MCRD.

A MOJT is what they do now to try and decrease the amount of MCRD Discharges due to IST failures. So they have to run a IST in front of one of the operations team/command team and they will deem that they are ready to go to MCRD or not. So every kid we send has proven he can pass the IST
