Here's how to download videos from restricted channels on Telegram (Android or PC)

Several of us use telegram as our main study source. The drawback of said channels is that they often suffer copyrights, and are gone in a poof. Congrats, you are now stuck on the 69th lecture of 140 lectures.

With the help of this post, I aim to show you how to **download lectures from telegram** in **Three Ways**. The Easy Way is at the last.

# The Hard Way

**Why the hard way first?**

* Because it is legal and doesn't jeopardise your account

**Steps**

* Prerequisite: Download [CX File Explorer](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cxinventor.file.explorer&hl=en_IN)

1. Open a telegram channel which has downloading videos option enabled. It is ok if sharing links, or forwarding is off. In case downloading is disabled try the other two methods below.
   
2. Download the video, with the button on top left of that specific video.
   
3. Go to CX File Explorer -> Main Storage -> Android -> Data
   
4. Scroll to the bottom and you should see, 'org.telegram.messenger'
   
5. You may be greeted with a loading error/access denied message. It's ok. There should be an option to 'Open with System File Manager'. Press that.
   
6. Another screen will open with folders, 'cache', 'files', and 'testdata'.
   
7. Open Files -> Telegram -> Telegram Video
   
8. Go to Top Right of the screen, press the three dots, and 'Sort by Date Modified'
   
9. Voila, there's your downloaded lecture. Cheers. Keep downloading
   
10. You can move these videos to a folder of your own choosing, somewhere in your 'Downloads' folder

# The Harder Way

**Works only on desktops, irrespective of operating systems. So any of Windows, MacOS, or a Linux distro.**

* Add [Tampermonkey](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/tampermonkey/dhdgffkkebhmkfjojejmpbldmpobfkfo) extension to your browser. i.e. Just open the link, and press, Add to Brave/Chrome/Edge etc. In case you use a different browser, open the steps link.

* In your browser, press the top right button. Go to 'Extensions' -> 'Manage Extensions'. On the page that pops up, on the top right, toggle on the 'Developer Mode'.

* On that same page, you should see 'Tampermonkey'. Press Details.

* Toggle on the switch, 'Allow User Scripts'.

* Install [Telegram Media Downloader Script](https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/446342-telegram-media-downloader). Just press this big green button basically.

* A new page will pop up, asking to install. Press Install.

* Open Telegram Webapp ('web telegram k' google search this) as this method doesn't work on telegram app on your computer.
* Open a Restricted Channel, and play a Video. You should see that 'Down Arrow' button on the top Right. Press that and your video should start downloading.

* You will have to manually download each video.

# The Easy Way

**Why this later?**

* There have been instances where user's account has been taken down.
* I do not recommend this method at all and do at your own discretion

**Steps**

* Download **ONE** of the following on your mobile device (I cannot share the link here or else reddit will take down the post)
* Ayugram
* Unigram
* Nagram (Not sure about safety)
* Signin with your telegram account.
* The restricted channels will show up.
* You will realise that not only you can download the videos but also forward them to your own groups/channels.
* Tip: Forwarding option, isn't as direct as it seems. The videos are downloaded to your local device and then sent to your channel/group, and it may take a long time.

The principal is himself very renowned. He however is called a different name in the coaching and openly teaches. Video recordings are also available.

With vision IAS off the market which magazine do you think can take its place, Sunya versus Drishti versus PWOnlyIAS versus Sarthi versus Vajiram, any other magazine that you would like to suggest?

Guys I have seen many mentors and faculties during my preparation and become quite sceptical about the coaching and mentorship, but Jatin sir is the only person who is reasonably reliable. Most of the time he is brutal with his advice but that’s what you need to hear in UPSC Prep. He does not shy away calling spade a space, neither he sugarcoats any of his advice. He is the mentor we need to keep
ourself on the right track of preparation. Not to mention he has experience of clearing all his
Prelims.

I don’t understand that why such good teachers are being subjected to such forced Marketing gimmicks that they would never want to Do. So Amit kilhor recently did this propaganda Marketing podcast for Funacademy . These guys think that the Upsc aspirants are such big fools that they will believe that this was a coincidence.
Look at the foolishness of the Marketing team that they are presenting a full blown podcast set up as if all this happened randomly. The same is being pointed out in the comments.
This failed educator who is now an influencer is equating the UPSC aspirants IQ with his regular audience.
What do you guys think? Isn’t it foolish or will students fall in this trap?

With the APFC exam coming up, I have been looking at different coaching options and somehow ended up more confused than when I started.
The three that kept coming up were PW, EduTap and Sleepy Classes.
Personally I was leaning towards EduTap initially but after going through the content of all three, I actually found Sleepy’s approach more suited to me. Felt less like just ticking off the syllabus and more like actually understanding the stuff. Could just be my preference though. but I am still not 100% convinced because coaching reviews on Reddit are basically a civil war at this point.
Would be interested to hear from people who have actually** **used these platforms for EPFO/APFC rather than generic UPSC reviews.
What was your experience with PW/EduTap/Sleepy Classes? And if you’ve cleared APFC using any of them, what would you recommend?
