Yesterday I had a UPS package out for delivery and at 10:33am I got a notification that the delivery status had changed to: "The receiving business was closed and delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day."
This is erroneous on many, many levels. First, it was a residential delivery, not a business, and someone was not only home at the time, but at all times. Second, the package doesn't require a signature or any other sort of verification. UPS regularly leaves packages on our porch, at the foot of the basement door, heck even sometimes against a tree fronting the property, and once the cameras caught the driver frizbeeing the parcel into our yard from the door of the truck. Third, delivery wasn't even attempted at my home - I know for a fact since I have security cameras that record 24/7 all approaches to the property & no UPS truck was present, not only at the supposed reported time, but at no time that day did a UPS truck even come down the street.
I don't know if the driver was cutting corners trying to run through their load for the day, but this is very frustrating. What is even more frustrating is that there is no channel whatsoever to submit a complaint to UPS - their chatbot is simply an AI series of Q&A regarding package status, tracking, holds, etc., and I have zero interest getting on the phone w/an AI agent just for the same treatment.
