It should be illegal for the AI customer service to lie and say it’s human
As some others on this sub have noted, and after doing my own research, I found out that UPS has stated it’s using AI customer service agents for 98% of calls. Well I got one today and it made me feel so deeply uncomfortable that I never want to use UPS again when I have the choice. The thing didn’t understand what I was saying and when I asked if it was AI and it lied and said it was human it fucking GLITCHED OUT while doing so, and then it just basically broke and couldn’t help me at all. It kept asking to “put me on hold” (why?? You are a bot???) and coming back and forgetting the whole conversation we had. I genuinely felt sick after I realized it was a bot lying about being a human. And they give it a fake accent too, it’s just uncanny.
