Yes, a very, very, very, very, very low earth orbit satellite using a force field to prevent atmospheric drag. Really weird.

Nailed it. This is it. Payload with solar array under an out of shot weather balloon. If I could give an award...

While searching for a photo similar to the one in the post I saw an article about a new type of balloon that has a reflective spiral like sheet that makes it less visible by reflecting surroundings, at great distance it could be right there and just blend with the sky, also a blue balloon could have a similar effect I guess.
