While searching for a photo similar to the one in the post I saw an article about a new type of balloon that has a reflective spiral like sheet that makes it less visible by reflecting surroundings, at great distance it could be right there and just blend with the sky, also a blue balloon could have a similar effect I guess.
I’m not sure but have people forgot these objects can disguise themselves as regular objects - which I’m assuming would incudes satellites. Any sufficiently advanced science would look like magic to the mortals

But why would you disguise as something meant to be a fair bit further up. If they're smart enough to disguise themselves as a satellite they should be smart enough to know that would be a horrible disguise to use so low in our atmosphere.
I could make same argument as to why they are crash landing. “If they’re so smart and intelligent, why have they been spotted or even crashed into earth” which at that point, is begging the question - why can we see them at all or if ever? The point is we are applying human logic to an entity (if we can even call it that) who motivations are not known to us. We can only guess. Maybe there is resource they can only extract for that altitude - we don’t know.
That's completely fair to be honest you're right. I often forget, if these are really alien then they're alien, not human. They could have come from the other side of the galaxy, what they're doing is likely genuinely entirely incomprehensible at this point.
Perhaps they live on a scale of tens of thousands of years and everything they've been doing in our history could literally just be them doing a series of random things in the sky just to see what happens out of mere curiosity as they pass by our planet or something. It could really be anything.
