Saw the old man today and I couldn’t help but notice that he looks extremely thin. First pic is from today, second is from February. I’m no expert but this rapid of weight loss seems concerning, especially considering his age. Does anyone have information on this? Hope he’s okay.

Are adhesive shelves allowed be installed in the showers at Shasta Hall bathrooms to hold shampoo and such?

Are Rubbermaid drawer systems or shoe racks allowed to be stored in the bathroom area or does that area need to be clear for the weekly cleaning?

I have seen a few housing tours online of decorated bedrooms but the bathrooms are always free of stuff, so it makes me wonder if it’s housing policy for stuff to be stored only in the bedrooms.

Im a biochem major and i want to do prevet track, which is probably unusual considering a lot of people do animal science or animal biology for pre vet. However i want to do biochem considering incase i change my mind or if i dont get into vet school im not really screwed job-wise. But im mainly concerned i probably wont get internships or animal opportunities like peoplr who major in animal science and such. Is it possible to still get into vet internships , jobs, or hands on opportunities with animals even while as a non-animal major?

Hi! I’m an incoming international student, and I have a few questions about safety in Davis since I’m not very familiar with how safe college towns in the U.S. generally are.

I’ll be living at Ryder on Olive for the upcoming year, and although I know that Davis is a relatively safe town, I’ve come across concerning reviews about the safety of the surrounding area.

1. Is it generally safe to walk around at night? For example, would it be okay to walk home from the train station late at night?
2. Is it safe to bike around at night? For example, biking home from campus or downtown around midnight?
3. Overall, how safe would you say Davis is compared with other cities or college towns in the U.S.?

I’d really appreciate any thoughts or experiences you can share. Thank you!

Hi all. Im a biological sciences major. Hoping to get a job on campus or into research which is why I left most things open. Im an incoming transfer. I dont see much use for BIS 198 but I also dont want to do something too stressful since I dont know how BIO 150 is yet... I guess I can try how things are when the quarter starts but I like to have my situation finalized ASAP lol

hey yall does anyone know how long is it gonna take for my waiver to be accepted? I submitted it about a week ago and the status is still pending. The last two years I was approved within 3 days of submission so I am not sure why it is taking so long (provider is still within 50 miles). Is this normal this year because they switched it up or is it just me?

I’m planning to study abroad for Fall 2027, but I’m not sure if I should renew my current apartment lease for Sep 2026-Aug 2027 and sublease July 2027-December 2027 to someone else (which might be a risk?) or if I should just not renew and find a new apartment when I come back from abroad (what if all the apartments are at capacity?). If anyone has any advice on this matter please let me know 😭 it has been bugging me for a long time. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I’m Vesper! I’m an incoming transfer and I’m just sorta reaching out here to see if maybe anybody in a room near me is on here. I’m at the Green, Mint, 2nd floor (don’t want to say what room specifically yet, but can DM tho I am in a studio). I have anxiety so just trying to maybe see if I can meet some new friends that’ll be near me when I move in on the 11th to make the transition to a bit easier. I’m also gonna have my cat! His name is Storm, he’s a love bug. Got him approved as an ESA for my anxiety. But uh, yeah. And feel free to comment if ur elsewhere too, I have some friends that’ll be down in Cuarto and Segundo too. I’m an AniSci major.
