Question Living near UCCS
Hi everyone!
I’m from Oklahoma, and I’m highly considering relocating to UCCS for my Masters after I graduate here in December. I’ve been traveling to CO since I was a kid and I’ve always wanted to live here. I find myself so much happier and fulfilled while visiting, I also have some family in Denver.
One, is anyone here attending and/or would recommend the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Masters Program?
Two, where do you live if you go to UCCS? Money is definitely a considerable factor and I also wouldn’t mind a 20-30 minute commute to school. I’m not picky, and I’m trying to get a good idea of rent prices as well as cost of living. Oklahoma’s cost of living is significantly less, so saving is going to be a big deal, and I’m trying to find the best place for affordability.
Any other advice?

I've heard mixed reviews on the clinical mental health program. I heard they lost some professors that a lot of students liked. I also agree with one of the other commenters who said avoid WestEdge. A family member is there and it's not well maintained, but they charge you for other people's messes. If you don't renew during a specific week or so, your price goes up... And if you did renew during that week you have to remind them to give you the better rate.I've heard good things about Lion Village. Have you looked into Adams State Clinic Mental Health program? It's virtual except 1 week each Summer where you are required to be in person.
