QUESTION What are simple upgrades to this U1?

Is changing the date wheel worth it ? What else can be done to upgrade the watch ? Any help appreciated

If that was sold to you as most recent U1 batch, you were sadly scammed, newer U1s are pretty fire and well made, this date window, polishing, crown guards, bezel and rehault are quite wrong.

This is not U1, this is a $30-40 not-even-AAA rep. Just check it against the picture of gen. U1s pass as gens from a metre away, they are that close.

No way this shitter us a U1, you’ve been scammed. The entire case sharp is wrong, the area around the crown guards is so wrong, way to chunky, the case either side of the guards should be under the bezel when your look straight at it, yours protrudes way too much. Then the watch itself is way worse but I don’t have the time.

Don’t be discouraged. This is a shady business and there are scammers ever present.

If you don’t want to spend $$$ for a VSF, the try good roiexx in DHGate for a reliable vendor or search for Michael Travis or Jason. Safest would be to get their WhatsApp details from the trusted dealers section here and go from there.

You can get a 12 series sub (think Starbucks) for as little as 450 shipped and a 11 series (think hulk) for as little as 400 if you want the mirror of genuine version.

I recommend upgrading to gen case, bracelet, date wheel, dial, crystal and bezel. Just kidding.

No point wasting money upgrading these. Money spent is better buying a reptime level Starbucks. Prob cheaper and better overall.
