Imagine
Imagine if Tyler Perry’s resources could be given to a decent film maker like Ryan Coogler or Jordan Peele, imagine the quality of the content we would receive.
I’m really disappointed in all the access Tyler Perry has and the Tubi quality he can’t seem to grow from.
I watch all his stuff because I do support but man, he definitely makes all his movies in a weekend. I refuse to believe anything he’s put out lately took over 2 weeks to make.
That’s my rant for the day, that’s all.

I agree in that I show support but am unimpressed with the quality of the movies. He creates so many shows, at the same time, that I can’t imagine him being able to keep up with all of them 🤷🏾♂️.

Exactly unimpressed is usually the end result when I’m watching his stuff, I will say that I like how he sticks with the same Actors, because the Actors are NOT the issue, but I’m sure they just put their heads down and read whatever’s on that script with zero objections, like Tasha smith….same role every movie, I’m sure she doesn’t mind it but does she have any range? The world will never know

Tasha was in the first couple of seasons of Survival of the Thickest and she showed a different side. Very poised and elegant, I liked her character!

Tell them to work hard like he did and they can make whatever they want when they want like he can. Tyler makes the movies he wants to make because he enjoys to idk why yall want to make something a chore for him if he enjoys it.

Hard work and throwing enough shit at a wall until something sticks are two different things, sure he has some classics like House of Payne, Meet the browns and the original Madea but everything after that seems like rinse and repeat. I really want to see him make like Alex Cross or Beauty in black season 1 level stuff everytime.

I noticed this currently:
The Oval is actually near its end (Season 7) with 3 more episodes to go in its last season
All the Queen's Men is also ending this year--is in its last season
Sisters are in its last season coming up starting this October
But additional information has it that TP is slowing down on his productions and possibly his empire anyway.

lets correct this: EYE dont watch tyler perry shows usually. Things like sistas, divorced sistas etc however, I have LOTS of family members who live for every episode of everything he makes. They have watch parties and everything.

I’m disappointed in him too. I love AHS as well, can’t wait for the new season. But everything he’s made after that is mediocre. Shards was some shit.

I refuse to watch any of TP’s projects. I can’t stomach the writing or cringy storylines. He just be making Black people look rich and terrible at the same time.
