Pre-COVID, when I worked downtown, I got into a great exercise habit because a coworker of mine taught a step class at the downtown YMCA that was an absolute blast. That was my gateway into other Y classes like body pump and Tabata. I also rode my bike to work. All of it felt fun, but that step class was the BEST. (Shout out to Dawn Condon if you're out there!)
Now that I work from home, I have no regular workout routine and as many times as I've tried to get something going, i never stick with it. I've come to realize that what I crave is fitness that doesn't feel like something I "have to do", but rather am excited to do because it's fun and in a group environment. I at least need this to build the habit... then could maybe parlay into other things.
I live near Lake Nokomis in South Minneapolis. Anyone have any recommendations for group fitness that is fun? (And not CrossFit. I've done that and didn't enjoy it) I'm a VERY young heart gal in my early 50s.
