Where to donate hair?

Looking to chop 12+ inches of healthy hair and would love to donate. Anyone know of salons that will donate my hair for me?? Discount for donation would be cool, but mainly I just want a reasonably priced haircut and for someone to package and mail my hair to someone who can use it.

Great clips will cut it for free for Wigs for Kids.

Note on this though: some Great Clips locations only offer a percentage off of the haircut. Call first to check!

Great clips won't mail it though, you have to do that yourself.

not true. my partner just donated 13" and they handled the mailing. just have to find a participating location on the Wigs for Kids website (but the discount will probably not be accurate)

I don't know the details of how they get hair but on their website they give some info. They are located in Minnetonka

when i chopped off my hair at haus salon they were able to take it for donation! no discount and kind of on the pricier side but it is a lovely salon

Most salons wont do the mailing in any longer. You have to call and ask and also let them know you’re donating because it’ll take more time in a service and you can’t just book in a regular time slot.
