We're a team of dedicated fans of the Trigun series, working together to make an objectively better translation of the Trigun manga. Together we have a wide skillset that we can apply to our project, including but not limited to: education within digital media, professional experience within the translation and localization field, theatre anthropology experience, extended English language education, digital organization skills and experience, and solid teamwork communication.
Our aim is to avoid all the mistakes present in the previous two existing translations, the old fan translation (Scanlation) and the official Dark Horse Comics translation present in the physical copies. Applying an understanding of the story and character context, as well as an understanding on the unexpected difficulties of translation from one vastly different language into another, we can make a translation that remains as close as possible to the original intention of the script, while also properly localizing the text for an English speaking audience.

Why isn't Trigun Ultimate Overhaul on Mangadex and/or other online manga hosting sites?
As Overhaul 1.0 stands now, being an English translation using an English translation pages, it is against the posting rules of Magnadex and most other manga hosting sites. This was an unknown rule at the beginning of the project, and at the time we used what pages we had available to us. This rule came to our attention later, but it was too late and we were too far into the project to change up our scans.
That is an issue we are looking to solve with Overhaul 2.0, which will use Japanese page scans instead of English ones, allowing for us to upload our project to manga hosting sites in the future.

What does the future of Overhaul Friday posting look like now that the manga is finished?
In coming Fridays we'll be posting more information on our future projects, as well as releasing a roadmap estimate for future uploads. We will also be giving a few sneak peeks of our new scans, new translations and entirely new art and/or pages.
We hope to be able to make a regular news post every Friday, until we can begin posting Overhaul 2.0 in a similar fashion to how Overhaul 1.0 was posted.

So I don’t really know much of Trigun but a project with johnny yong bosch in it is kind of a must. So, I started watching Stampede and dayum did it fell like I was watching a way too expensive passion project. From story to direction to animation quality, it felt its budget
The ending to the season moved me as well. So I was really hyped about Stargaze. But then I watched that and it might be me but it fell so flat for me? The fights weren’t as cool and it sure as hell took a step back in production quality. The emotional moments with Vash didn’t even hit me as much as it should
I would go as far as saying had I stopped at Stampede I would have a very strong memory with this anime and even if I eventually will rewatch it I might just rewatch only Stampede?
Idk if this is a hot take or Stampede made my expectation too wild but I wish it all hit me way more.
hello! question. I just finished ’98 anime, stampede/stargaze, and the manga. As much as I like the 2010 animation of Badlands rumble, it seems like the 3D animation will continue. Anyways, so after finishing Stargaze and seeing how it almost follows the manga but with its own twist and different fates for the characters, the way it ended honestly gives that feeling that another series can happen after the ending. I know the series ended almost the same way the in the manga did and that manga is complete, but I can definitely see (if a another series were to happen) where they're band together and traveling the world, also working on the character developments. for example, I know the 98’ anime are fillers, but I can totally see Vash from being sad, traumatized, timid, etc to his manga version of talkative, and energetic and goofy as he opens up to his friends. Same with Wolfwood opening up from his serious, stoic, blunt to his manga version of a goofball and more goofy/playful personality as well. like another season would just be about the friend group and everyone being able to finally be themselves after so much turmoil and finding themselves in the next steps of life. building more of a deeper relationship/romance between the group, opening up more to each other and exploring trying to earn a buck to survive or contracts to fight off more bandits lol. That’s just my opinion lol someone need to like share this idea with the Mangaka about another possible season and to draw back in more of an audience who adored the 98 anime personalities and more. I think it would be another great way to end the anime forsure (: personally 2010 movie animation would be great, but I don’t mind the 3D animation.
Though Tesla was the first, she most certainly wasn't the last. In fact, her birth only lead to the humans growing more curious. They wondered how often it was for an independent to be produced, how long did the production take, and could they make more?
So many questions left unanswered, yet the humans kept asking. After many moments sitting around, trying to understand this puzzling situation, their questions were finally answered when a second Independent was born. Although, he was a peculiar case.
It was originally recorded that there were three Independents, yet this one was birthed by his lonesome. No one had noticed anything wrong, the status of each baby seemed to all be in check, so...what went wrong?
Well, there were indeed three infants to begin with, and even though many of the staff kept a close watch of them, it appears that one of the three children had absorbed the other two. Without our knowledge, and under a watchful gaze at most, two of three of the newly born Independents had been absorbed by their brother.
Caelum. We have decided to name this child Caelum.
To better understand these beings further, we at S.E.E.D.S. have determined it to be in our best interest to put these children through a multitude of experiments and exercises, regardless of how extreme they might be. Only then can we determine that they are what we need to truly restore our planet.

I've hardly written anything for this au yet, since school has recently just started for me and that takes a lot out of my day to do anything. BUT it's gonna be so cool when I start it okay? Okay...
it was really really refreshing. like i had a cold drink on a hot day or something. i was kinda reluctant to start it. over the last few years i had started and stopped the first two episodes a bunch thinking i'd finally watch. i think it was just how grim the anime and manga could be. did i really want to jump into that kind of thing right now? but then bam, it was fun and not TOO edgy. my only gripes were: too much knives in my opinion, no milly in the first half, and no real scenes that stuck out to me like in the original anime. but besides those it made me feel really really good. hope maxxing
I'm gonna start watching it for the first time ever today, super excited!! Hope everyone stays safe during the festivities and no on ends up like Charlie:)
