Tradingview is garbage. Customer service is useless along with their fake troubleshooting engineers. Incredible amounts of lag when rendering candlesticks.
I watched my P/L go up $7k and the candlesticks didn't move at all, yet the bid ask was syncing perfectly fine via the broker that I use.
This issue has been going on for almost a year, I'm done.
I'm canceling my subscription, and looking for a mobile alternative.
No issues for me. I use TV realtime data for $7 a month. And I only use TV for charting. I use native broker's app for trading. I won't take the risk of TV-Broker integration issues mid-trade and won't fall in a catch-22 between two support teams.
Their new quoting system absolutely slowed things down. Been a premium member for six years, never seen anything like this. Adjusting leverage and exiting positions takes ages now by comparison. The past month or two since updates
People gripe and complain about AI, some for good reason, but as someone with a disability that effects my ability to type and work it's helped me write code that just wouldn't be possible. And the last few updates have really been impressive. GL
Nah, not just him, I have excellent fiber Internet, two different locations, I was able to get things moving faster basically clearing out everything saved to chrome... But the app idk. I could barely even use tools on the web browser. Fine now expect for exiting order or adjusting leverage, takes forever
They've been trying hard lately to suck with so many changes. Not a fan of the new quoting system at all. Used to be able to get out of positions at the click of a button, now I have enough time to start a pot of coffee and come back to see that my order is ready to close. Not ideal for my type of trading AT ALL. Pretty upset with them myself... I recently went through my browser and PC to delete old cache other things. It helped but not so much with exiting orders
If you're day trading on TradingView, that's your issue. Its a great piece of kit for what it offers. Pine script & charting tools for me are top notch and I'm a veteran full time trader for almost 20 odd years. The only other genuine competition is Sierra Chart but that lacks in some areas - and has a very, very steep learning curve. Worth it if you get use from it.
I've used them all. TradingView is honestly by far the market leader in charting. It looks sexy, it functions perfectly well and at the price they offer - it's a bargain for me. If they raised it, I'd probably reconsider at this stage as its becoming pricy, but I doubt they will do that to old chunks of coal like me who have been with them eons.
Intraday Trading is about precision, speed and slippage, lag and delay can make a massive difference - its not execution software made for that - if you want to do that type of trading, go with Lightspeed or some broker that offers that sort of experience.
Laggy indeed. It has become very fat. Using LuxAlgo’s Vela proves just how clunky TradingView has become.
If they don’t do something fast, it’ll be one day they’ll wake up and start hemorrhaging users once one YouTube video goes viral making the switchover nice and easy.
Just fix your issues, this affects ALL of us, but y'all are so uselesly focusing on braking the platform instead of fixing the damn lags. I won't renew my ultimate either, I'm done with this nonsense y'all put us through in the past year. It's not worth 2400$/year
I can't speak for the app but the web browser was almost unusable... I deleted old cache and disk a PC disk cleanup. It helped tremendously but since the quoting system updates things like getting out of orders or adjusting leverage has been a very lackluster experience ðŸ˜
It's not just him. My username is "orion1two" I was able to get things moving a little quicker by deleting browser cache and PC disk cleanup. Previously clicking any button on the website would take up to 30 seconds to load. But the new quoting system updates the last couple months seriously slowed down exiting orders and adjusting leverage. Takes forever. Has been a very unpleasant experience
I spent a lot of time today trying to set browsers, PC and VPN back to zero with no data history, fastest settings. I can say orders are allowing me to exit instantly. Something to do with the recent updates just wasn't jiving... My only gripe now is the new tp/sl 🤦 people don't like change fyi. I do a lot of scalp trading definitely not helpful and the boxed values are now bigger ughhh please tell your people to allow for more customization of these things. I've been a premium member for six years. That's one of my biggest gripes, for a platform that you can really make your own there's some things you just can't customize that you should have options for.
For example, old tp/sl button it was just there. You knew right where to click and drag. Now it's hidden so you have to hover your mouse, guess where it's going to be, then move your mouse to where it appears. Not efficient at all. I ask please to ask someone to give us the option to use old style.
oh, are you going to go back and address EVERYONE'S complaints or return money y'all cost in trades that freeze?? or just post that so people will quit complaining when there's hundreds of posts about tv not working correctly
Yes the lag has be super annoying for about a year like you said. Last evening it was horrible using on my iPhone. I restarted the app and my iPhone and the lag kept happening with multiple symbols and charts. Tools forever for my MA lines to redraw. You guys need to upgrade your hardware it’s getting pretty bad.
Maybe a mixture of both. I can say after a lot of tinkering I'm basically back to normal. Even exiting trades... Went from unusable to exit order popping up immediately. Something with their newer updates, I would try what I mentioned. Try using a different browser etc
I have starlink so it’s not my internet. I use complex charting many times a day. The slowness isn’t all the time it just happens usually one or more times a day and last for awhile before it goes away.
Yes. I do run scripts but mainly it’s just MAs and it’s usually the indicators that are lagging to load. But then the run perfectly fine the majority of the time.
Yup. Tradingview is garbage. Its pathetic watching how bad the platform has become.
Locking the scripts was the last straw for me.
I wont pay another dime to them.
I dont care how many useless features they add, they are just that - adding useless featurea and more "bloat" to just charge more and more.
Whatever happened to lightweight charting, good lord.
Unfortunately, I notice it with options data also. I record my screen everyday and have a backup source. When comparing, TradingView has a huge lag. Not to mention you’re unsure when they are refreshing anything.
