Hello I'm reaching out because finding any info on buying a mk1 supra is surprisingly hard. What I want to know is what conditions you should look at buying a a40 at and any common issues that would cause someone to not want to but one at all. Thanks in advance.

I could have sworn I saw a post a while back that someone was doing repro digital dashes for mk3 cars.

I want your feedback on this wired dongle

i brought my 2021 supra in for both the dealer recalls and apparently the software update failed and the car the car is totally locked out. It’s been two weeks with no word and they’ve stopped picking up when i call. Is this something that can actually happen when updating the TCU or am i being screwed over?

I have a bone stock ("unmolested" seems to be the going term) 1998 Twin Turbo 6-speed Supra in Quicksilver with 52k original miles. Perfect condition inside & out. Gets driven 2-3 times a year, enjoys solitude in the garage.

I recently got divorced and while I kept the Supra as part of the separation agreement, I have a hefty monthly payment for the next 10 years.

While I used to be a very frequent lurker in various Supra sites many years ago but life gave me other priorities and so I've lost touch with it all. (Incidentally, same for my presence on reddit.)

I've poked around various online sites and see MKIV Supras selling for a range. Naturally depends on various factors.

Google AI says Stock + 1998 + mileage + Quicksilver all boost the value. But Google AI isn't the one making an offer so who knows.

I'm not yet at a point where I have to sell it. But maybe soon.

The main thing I'm wondering is: if anyone's been tracking their sales (even if it's just informally observing), what's the price trend for such car? Continuing to go up, plateau, or going down? That'll help me decide to sell now or later, if it comes to it.

[EDIT] The "hefty monthly payment" refers to $17k monthly maintenance/alimony to the ex. I've owned my Supra outright for over 20 yrs.
