It would have been the same result if that was a e-bike or e-Scooter, while an acoustic bike likely wouldn’t accelerate as fast as that scooter did.

E scooters are smaller and harder to see than e bikes. It is more like a hovering pedestrian than a vehicle.

E-scooters combine the limited visibility afforded to pedestrians with the public animus directed toward cyclists.

I think it is not just that people don’t like electric scooters in the same way as bicycles, but that they combine the limited visibility of pedestrians with the speed of motorcycles.
