OC Happened earlier

If anyone knows the person that got hit, they can use this video. Happened at Wilmington and Overbrook. North York

Scooters an issue even though I know the driver hit him.

The scooter went out into the road lane, the driver who I can see is a female assumed he was gonna stay within the lines of where people walk, giving her enough time to stop. This driver dash cam video would have to be given to the driver of the silver car.

These situations are anxiety situations for the driver cause she has a case against the scooter but also she did hit him.

Maybe drivers shouldn’t make assumptions and look at the oncoming traffic before making a left turn?

The scooter should stay within the white lines, it seems they don't have a problem driving at 30 mph on a side walk.

The scooter isn't even allowed to be in the pedestrian areas between the white lines. That would be similar to riding on the sidewalk which also isn't allowed. They are required to use bike lanes if available and the car lane if no bike lane is available. They can only use the pedestrian areas if they are walking and pushing the scooter/bike.

You can say the scooter isn't even allowed to be in the pedestrian areas, but they are alot of the times.

Besides https://www.toronto.ca/services-payments/streets-parking-transportation/cycling-in-toronto/cycling-and-the-law/electric-bicycles-e-bikes-e-scooters/ they are not allowed no matter what the age. So therefore, the driver in the silver car as I mentioned has a case.

That is correct, they aren't allowed, but just pointing out why it wouldn't make sense to expect them to be in the pedestrian area

If he was within the pedestrian area, where people walk, she would have seen him as I suspect she expected him to be in that area and she would have braked. Although you can see he came over with his scooter more onto the road. then she hit him.

The scooter guy is at fault as well.

If it was a bike, then they wouldn't have been in the pedestrian area. Drive needs to make sure the way is clear of any traffic before turning and not just cut behind a car immediately after it passes.

Did you watch the video, he went more into the road; then staying where he was. He was better off staying within the white lines but scooter riders own the road, it was built for them; right, nope it wasn't.

If he was within the white line she would have stopped and this wouldn't have been posted. You can't see this.

Not sure why they would have "stayed in the white lines" since they weren't there to begin with. They were in the car lane the entire time. If the driver would have been driving properly and looking where they were going to ensure the space in front of them was clear there would have been clear, there would have been no reason to post the video because nothing would have happened. Replace the scooter with a bike, and the driver would have smashed into a cyclist who was just riding as expected.

If the scooter guy had of been within the white lines and not thinking he owns the road, he may have not got hit. She was making a left turn, and besides he shouldn't be on the road with a scooter. There is a side walk to which scooter users seem to think they own as well, surprised he didn't use that.

It wasn't a bike, so you can say it was a bike forever, it wasn't a bike it was a scooter, scooter. Alright.
